That's sound reasoning which I respect.

For some reason I can't get high quality pics of this shelf due to lighting and the dark color of the shelf. The camera just balks at the contrast and just can't auto-set for the conditions. Anyway. These are my scents. Some aftershave colognes are not not on the shelf and are under my bathroom sink.

Impressive collection! Creeds on the bottom shelf? Don't see that too often.

Thanks all. I hope 'someday' in the future to have a custom set of shelves built with special lighting and glass doors (with UV filter-film on the glass). The ultimate display case. For now this affordable tall shelf is what I'm going with (and it's starting to get a little full with the original boxes and bottles-behind-bottles).

Got this cabinet today. It's from a Malle counter of a fragrance shop. Not a great picture etc. But you get the idea. I keep valuable and rare vintages and for example Chanel Les Exclusifs EdT's in a safer place.

This is a beautiful displayI wish I had something like that, but living in earthquake prone zone, I store everything in a dresser with locked doors, hiding more valuable fragrances among drawers in between clothes.

So are we seeing what would have been the back of the cabinet in the shop, where the SA could open the doors and reach inside?

And did the shop throw in the display of the photographs of the Malle noses?

Only niche fragrance shop in Finland went bankrupt and I, as any decent fragrance person would do, bought their whole interior. I have loads of really weird fragrance stuff around here! In addition to Malle noses I now also have a big Frederic Malle photo. That was a bit much. Like having a picture of Mao or Stalin above a home altar.

It's one of those days for my wife.

"Honey, did you buy milk and bread like I asked?"

"Even better than that! I bought the whole interior of a fragrance shop!"

Wow that’s awesome! I’d love to have a home fragrance counter display.
“I have often observed that [scents] cause an alteration in me and work upon my spirits according to their several virtues; which makes me approve of what is said, that the use of incense and perfumes in churches, so ancient and so universally received in all nations and religions, was intended to cheer us, and to rouse and purify the senses, the better to fit us for contemplation” - Montaigne

Wow what an amazing find, and looks really cool!

I wonder if anyone here got a display from Barney's when they closed. I remember in their final days everything was for sale, furnishings included.

That looks fantastic. I'd love to have something where I could access all my stuff easily like that, but then my wife would know what all I've got and that would be the end.
