Thanks! I really enjoy the bottles produced in the 1980s, Antaeus at its finest. Have you smelled the earlier bottles?

If I have smelled Anteus when it first came out it was briefly and I don’t recall. It and other Chanel masculines are actually on my sniff list to familiarize myself with them.

For what it's worth Egoiste EDT could be considered Unisex as it has a nice woody oriental aroma. If you can get mini bottles of Pour Monsieur, Antaeus, Egoiste that would be the way to go as you would experience them in vintage formulation.

Thanks for the tip. For starters, I have some older samples of some of the masculine Chanels.

Sounds wonderful. By any chance have you tried Orchidee Vanille? I noticed you have a bottle of Tihota which is an exceptional vanilla scent.

Yes, Orchidee Vanille was actually the first fragrance from this line I tried. I had a small decant years ago and thought a couple times about buying a full bottle but never did. I remember it having a chocolate note in addition to the vanilla and to date it is the only perfume with a chocolate note that I have liked.

Interesting, I didn't recall detecting any kind of chocolate or gourmand accord from it when I tried it many years ago. While nice, it wasn't convincing enough to warrant a purchase.
Have you tried some of the vanilla scents offered from Guerlain?

Thank you, Bigsly, for the heads up. It’s going for next to nothing on eBay.

Chocolate is actually listed in the notes, but I may be more sensitive to it as I tend to pick it out very quickly when it's in a fragrance. I agree with you that Orchidee Vanille is nice, but not convincing enough to purchase. Never tried any of the Guerlain vanillas!

Definitely give them a try. Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Cuir Beluga, Angelique Noire, and Tonka Imperiale are good scents to try.

Probably the most natural smelling pine fragrance I have ever experienced. Works beautifully on a cold and frosty day like today
