ELDO Dangerous Complicity—I need to edit my mediocre review of this, because I ended up loving it, and found a full bottle for an outrageous 40 bucks


A big decant of Remarkable People (BF likes it too, so, if we finish this, we’ll go for a full bottle)

And Rochas Absolu. I’ve wanted it for years, and I got a very nice deal on it.

This looks really great! I love Passage but find it a little on the quiet side. Plus I love the whole concept of “this is our perfume shop in a bottle,” like Diptyque’s 34 series, and ELDO’s Archives 69.

So, I bit the bullet. My old formula Coromandel EDT is less than half full, and I am hoarding it, during the exact time of year that I should be wearing it most often. To help me be less hoardy, I bought the Coromandel Extrait from Chanel’s website. It will be equally, or more, precious than my EDT, but also will give me another option, and I have been coveting it, since Chanel announced its launch.

Late night shopping again—this will be the death of me. I just bought a bottle of J-Scent Black Leather. It is like a baby Bulgari Black, less the powder, more elegant and suave, but on the same spectrum. This house is massively underrated.

I actually bought this as part of the December sales, but forgot to post it in "Today I bought" until just now, and the December 2020 thread was closed. Figured since it arrived close to January 2021, okay to post here.

I finally broke down and bought (on deep sale) Amouage Fate Woman. I was actually first entranced by the bottle with its gorgeous opalescent glass, and was pleased to find after sampling that I actually also really enjoyed the fragrance. Usually it's the complete opposite for me - If I love the fragrance, I *hope* the packaging is great, but don't really care much.

On top of all that, the box ( rich gold celestial images on a deep and vibrant blue background - looks a bit like cloisonne jewelry to me) is also beautiful - I don't think the pic does any of it justice, but you get the idea:



Happy I bought it - and happy I waited until it was available at a good price for me.
