    First impressions:
Royal Oud - the sandalwood reminds of Santal 33. No Oud. Pleasant but too powdery for me.
Nishane - Ani - interesting green top notes that are gone pretty quick, some rose\pepper and then just overwhelming vanilla\amber. Pass.
Diptyque - Tam Dao - almost non-existent on my skin. Faint woodness. Pass
Diptyque - 34 Boulevard Saint Germain - Nice spicy cinnamon/clove opening, floral soapy clean dry down. I think I like this the most out of the bunch.
MDCI - Chypre Palatin - Nicely blended as all MDCI usually are, kind of get an old school Chypre vibe. Lavender and Jasmine really come through on skin with some powdery-ness from the Iris backed with some spice. On the fence on this one... need more time.
Omnia - Ambra - No sure yet. Just took a quick sniff!

Dior Spice Blend - nice, elegant concoction - hard to describe though it seems "familiar", I don't get much spice but it's pleasant, versatile - projection average (I don't find it similar to spicebomb

Dior Santal Noir - WOW! now this one does have some strong spices besides some nice woods(I don't really recognize sandalwood) - projection is BIG!! not sure how long it lasts but it's very good so far. IMO this one should be called "Spice Blend" ... I think this is my favorite dior now! it shares some dna with some other private diors, like oud ispahan, but it's not skunky at all....

retested Bois d'Argent on skin - performance still pretty bad... but I'm tempted to get at least a decant...

Bergamot by Commodity. So so. Fizzled quick.
Sea Fennel & Cypress by Molton Brown. Quite nice ozonic aqua bubble with a little bite. More floral than similar Oxygen for men, smells better to be honest, yet lacks spectacularly in performance. Promising opening, doesn't deliver.
Orange & Bergamot by Molton. Ooops, just like the satsuma the Grooming sets we got each other with pocket money when at school . (20-25yrs ago) Body shop smell:-/ hand lotions n stuff

I recently tried this as well. Smells good but reminds me of a room deodorizer or something. Not anything I would wear, but it still smells good.

Parfums De Marly Herod, received a carded PDM sample with my order from Maxaroma. It’s decent but super sweet, definitely smells designer like most of their fragrances. I’ve been curious about this one for a few years and my curiosity has been answered while decent I have other fragrances I’d wear in place of this one LIDG EDP for a sweet fix. In the $100 price range it would be a worthy FB purchase but designer at niche prices isn’t my thing.
The finishing piece to my day’s attire is always a solid fragrance.

Nasomatto Black Afgano - unimpressed. Not necessarily bad, but not very good either. It doesn't really "tell" me anything. I'm not familiar with marijuana smell so this might be a reason(others claim it smells like it). It smells similar to something else I have sniffed, not sure what. The style, in a similar manner to Pardon which I also tested some time ago, seems similar to Amouage - pretty heavy stuff, some woody notes mixed with something else, perhaps green notes in this case. A tad bit similar to Epic Man(besides the stuff I can't remember), but not nearly as good. Pardon also gave me that sensation, even more so than Black Afgano.

This is one that I've really been wanting to try. I like bold scents like Epic Man. I wonder what I will think of Black Afgano.

Care to elaborate any more on that? "Interesting" could mean good or it could mean horrible, or anything in between. I saw this for sale at TJMaxx/HomeGoods last weekend for under $30 (for 100ml) and I picked it up but couldn't pull the trigger

Felt the same way, I recently blind bought this due to a killer price and this being on my radar for quite awhile

Similarly unimpressed. REALLY unimpressed with the performance. This is an extrait?? All the other extrait strength I own (Baccarat Rouge, several Areej's, Au Coeur Du Desert) are STRONG and last for days and days. Black Afgano was nowhere near this, it was more like an EdC or *maybe* an EdT than it was an extrait.

Initial thoughts were that it was good, but not exciting enough to warrant a full bottle, but after some time I grew to like it very much, so I bought a bottle.

Well, this is the fastest I've ever received a package - from ANYWHERE. Two days shipped from Kuwait via FedEx Priority International. Couldn't believe it when it was out for delivery this morning.

The fragrance is Arabian Oud Blue Oud. I'm not sure where the "Blue" comes from, but notes appear to be simple: Cambodian and Indian Oud and Musk (blue musk via some websites, so that may be where, although I've also read ambergris.) It comes as a pair with 100ml and 22ml attar. I quickly sampled both to see if I should give it a full wearing today because, well, this is the real deal stuff.

Upon application, I was "Yup, I get a little funkiness." After about 20 minutes, the scent really starts to develop and change. There's this vibrancy that's hard to describe. There's something VERY pleasing about this, almost fruity but not. So I decided yeah, I'm wearing this today and sprayed some as I normally would. As I'm smelling where the I rubbed the attar about 45 minutes ago, this stuff is amazing. It's slightly animalic, but so warm and inviting at the same time with a bit of sweetness. It's pricey at $400 for the set, but check around online and overseas and you'll find it for less (or catch it during one of Arabian Oud's 50% off deal.)

    I'm wowed.

Simple presentation, too. The bottles aren't over the top and the box is nicely done.

Impossible. The performance on Black Afgano is nuclear. Damn near suffocating with more than one spray. Coffee, Incense, and Cedarwood is what I get from Black Afgano.

I heard that, but with the bottle I have, its just not the case. What year is your bottle from and what color is the juice? I've read many reviews on Fragrantica confirming that there was a reformulation and BA is now a meek shadow of its former self.

My bottle is from 2018 and the juice is purple.

Can you read the batch code on the bottom of the bottle? Interested in figuring out when this changed. My bottle has the code 03187, indicating March 2018
