ZC, is that bottle from your recent order from France? If yours made it to the West Coast before mine did to the East Coast, I'm gonna be a bit PO'd.

Are you shrugging about my delivery dilemma, or about the quality of the new juice? Hope it's not the latter.

Francesco Smalto Pour Homme, first time wear it. Initial impressions, it smells very herbal and woody hard to appreciate at the moment.

wonderful scent! Not sure what the "Classic" means. The older version that I have has the signature and the name but no "classic" but it is very, very good.
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

It kind of looks like a cheap knock off that wasn't trying too hard IMHO. I'm probably going to end up selling this.

I enjoy the smokey opening of this one. Drys down very pleasant as well, not an aggressive powerhouse by any means....

Yes, I’m a big fan too. Smoky green mossy fougere = I like. We seem to have some similar preferences.

I think more a relaunch than a knockoff. The original Alain Delon is great—sorry to hear the "classic" is disappointing.

I get a dry woody feel to it, reminds of me of pencil shavings. Very dry scent and yet subtle, I got very little oak moss in the base.

My VSOTD just arrived. I finally pulled the purist-stick out of my ass and bought a 2007-version of Trussardi Uomo distr. by Sélective Beauty SA.
Never smelled this version before, but I consider it to be the last hoorah before the dreadful re-orchestration of 2011.
I'm not long in the wearing, but so far I am NOT disappointed! Lovely citrus, crispy green opening, florals, leather and moss is what I get so far. Not as dense and thick as the vtg I.C.A.P. version I have, but still with the creamy/resinous quality and a crystal-clear DNA.
It's brilliant and an instant love for me. Tbc...

I was doing a terrible job being sarcastic I had my hopes set for the the "first version" as pictured on the fragrance retailer's website and when I got the "classic" version instead I was disappointed at the retailer for pulling a bait and switch (hopefully unknowingly but I sort of doubt it).
