Nice one! The oakmoss is very prominent and crisp right from the start. Funny that nobody ever mentions that, come to think of it. PPH is the only fragrance, that I have smelled, that uses oakmoss as such a clear fragrance-note *drooling*

Yes, I love oak moss too and this is such a pleasant fragrance. In a way, at one stage of development, it kind of reminds me of Gianfranco Ferre for Man. I can also smell that Patou DNA in Ma Liberte.

Sampling for the first time ever vintage Dune Pour Homme. On application, I'm repulsed by the herbal notes present in the opening. We'll see how it develops as time passes.

That's a bummer...I kind of dig it myself.

I blind bought this one - inexpensive, so if not in my wheelhouse, no harm no foul. Truth-be-told, this one is kind of "meh" for me. I thought it was going to be right up my alley, but on my skin, I'm not really diggin' it. I don't dislike it either, so a solid "neutral" for me. I got the 125 ml bottle from an eBay seller who didn't add pictures to the listing. I sent him a message asking for a few pics and shortly after a deal was made. Why some sellers don't add pictures to their listings is beyond me but in the end I got the Rive Gauche for a steal compared to current market prices - lucky me!

Also, I have a similar EBay story. When I was searching for a bottle of vintage Aramis Devin I came across a seller who had it priced at $1,275!? You will see this sometimes with vintage where sharks are fishing and hoping to get lucky, but this guy had a legit store and feedback.

I reach out to let him know and he laughed, now knowing why it hadn't moved for months on end. Was supposed to be $127.50 and he never double checked the listing.
