I have no experience with that seller, whose perfumes may be wonderful for all I know, but I must say that I think the prices for the opened, half full, and darkened Guerlains also seem on the high side to me. I do see that the seller accepts returns and refunds if the perfume is “rancid.” Hmmm. I would proceed with caution with those bottles. Evaporated perfumes may open strongly, but their structure may be entirely flattened out and the scent will disappear almost immediately. If you can hold out for a sealed bottle, I think your chances of success are much better.

In general, I prefer buying on Ebay because the protections for buyers are very good. Long, long ago, I purchased a very bad bottle on Etsy and there didn’t seem to be any recourse available to me so I just chucked it.

Thanks Bavard! Will report back if it ends up being a good place to shop from.

I absolutely love Programme. It is one of my top favorites. It’s just really fantastic. Hard to get though and expensive when you do find it.
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

I've actually had it since last August, but this is my first proper wearing. It's a 50ml splash.

I haven't worn Sagamore yet, either—it's on queue for tonight or tomorrow, depending how this lasts on me—but I have decanted both, and they're certainly not the same. The similarity in bottle design is simply because they're masculines from the same house from roughly the same time period.

I'm enjoying it thoroughly, though I think I was overly cautious in my application. It's not one of those massive projectors, but it hits the fougère target right in the sweet spot, an easy wear if you're not nervous about running out.

Default Vintage Scent of the Day

Sorry for slow action. Busy busy.

My SOTD was Carven Vetiver Dry.

I got home from work and borrowed from a more northerly idea of cooking seafood and did a shrimp bake. As much as my Louisiana instincts screamed what I was doing was wrong, what, with all the Old Bay seasoning coating the outside of the shrimp/potato/corn/sausage/lemon/garlic mixture and then sealed and place in an oven... I just didn’t want to drag out all the equipment for a proper boil and then clean up. Sorry. It happened.

But then I took a nice hot shower and applied my SOTN, Creed Millesime Imperial. And on a Tuesday night, no less! Hope all are well.
Sent from the bayou, using homing gators.

I'm not seeing Programme Homme anywhere in any size right now, but I've seen minis before. In fact, in Completed Listings, it looks like someone sold a 7.5ml splash on eBay for $50 in December. Which I think is ridiculous—it's good, but not that good.

Yeah, I saw that too - $50 for a mini of Programme Homme - nope not from me. I think I paid about $14 for my mini of Sagamore and that seems more like a reasonable price.
