Thread: Accord Game

  1. #1

    Default Accord Game

Let's play a little game, just for fun and stimulating our creativity!

I'm going to start the game by naming an adjective and a thing. If you want to take part, name at least 2 but not more than 5 ingredients that you would combine to make an accord that represents that specific thing. Finish by naming another adjective and thing.

So, you come up with an accord for the last thing named and keep the challenge going by naming the next thing. Pretty simple, right?

The accord can absolutely be abstract and, obviously, it doesn't have to be perfect. This is just a game!

    Let's begin ...

    RED LIPS

    Cheers,

Don't you like the game or do you think it is too difficult?

I'm fond of the game, but I think we should start with something a little less abstract...makes it a bit more approachable, you know? After a few rounds perhaps we could do something like "red lips" which is quite an abstract concept.

Thanks for your answer! You might be right, so here is something pretty specific and simple:

I've learned that a "fogginess," "breathiness," or sense of "humidity" in perfumes can be achieved with a little hyraceum.

A touch of cypriol and santaliff perhaps? Then trace amounts of ultrazur and vernaldehyde to make it "wintery" and some hydrocarboresine to turn dirty the "fog" into "smog"

Edit : added the olibanum to bring it into the 21st century but I don't really know how to create "shame" as an accord. I was initially thinking The Name Of The Rose era with those thick robes but they're monks. My bad but it's done now.
