my doubt is that it could be something too much and get bored.

You already have a nice assortment. IMO, probably don't need it, but you ultimately have to decide.

Even if there is still the possibility to sell/swap etc. the EDP version of Eucris when in doubt or if too similar with the current collection (while also agreeing on the greatness and variety of the very enjoyable oakmoss options already owned), still personally considering the very Eucris EDP different enough from some if not most of these.
So much so to not make owning this redundant in any way, even if bought blind.

1) No such thing as too much oakmoss. 2) It's certainly different enough, imho. 3) No such thing as too much oakmoss.

More "rounded" than others, and the blackcurrant note gives an overall modern touch that other lacks. Eucris is elegant, soft, I wouldn't put it in the "powerhouse basket" like most of the other ones you listed.Originally Posted by lovetribe

I think if you are into classic scents, you may well like it in theory.
On the other hand, it is quite linear and doesn’t do much else other than project the same accord for something like 12 hours.
I don’t like to recommend blind buying ever and this one is no exception. It could really go both ways.

It is mossy and fresh at the same time.
Is it dark? Depends on how you perceive the moss. To me it comes across as “ink”. Don’t ask me why. That’s just how I see it. Others may well describe that as dark.

Ok. The problem is that cost 100 euro. And ok could be not similar to other oakmoss.but How many? But if is dark,sad, gothic,is for me. If is only quite different to other oakmoss that i have no.

if i have to buy another classic oakmoss perfume i don't buy it. my doubt is that it must really be different from the ones I have. clearly distinguishable. sad, gloomy, gray, funereal, gothic, dark. not for example a paco rabanne pour homme. that's what i mean friends.

From the sprayer it smells like a creamy oakmoss sandalwood based shaving cream or soap. Once I spray it on I get a heavy burst of bergamot and moss with musk. Some blackcurrant adds a slightly fruity edge and the lily of the valley provides a slight floral interest but nothing overpowering. It’s darker than something like Eau Sauvage but not as dark as Bogart Signature. It isn’t resinous. A lot of the darkness I think comes from the moss, musk and cumin. It is very strong and acts as more of a very longlasting post shave style scent. In fact it is a scent I normally end a shave with (though not being an aftershave lotion I don’t apply it to my face). Don’t expect Guerlain refinement because it’s not that kind of scent.
As rum suggested sampling would be the way forward if you can.

It is different than the other you listed imo. That said... 100 Euros?? Not sure I'd spend so much on that one. I've spent ~$50 on a 100ml bottle of the EDT, and although I love it, I think it's the right price for it.

I thank that could be a dark parfum not a simil drakkar
noir or a shave cream. If bogart is darker ok. I have other soapy scent or clean scent that i love. I think prbabily that is other.

Could be a way between eau sauvage and azzaro pour homme? With end notes quite sweet and a chypre way?

No. Not close to ES or APH. Chypre... a bit. Sweet? No, the fruitiness of the blackcurrant rounds the edges, but doesn't result sweet to my nose.
As for darkness, it's kind of a dark elegance, a dark suit. But not a dracula kind of darkness, not close to the Encre Noire feeling (to give an idea). I think that the "darkness" idea is given more by the black bottle than the fragrance. I find VC&A Pour Homme to be darker, for example.

I do love VC&A PH too, a masterpiece. If you're looking for a chypre, with oakmoss and rose, and a hint of sweetness, I strongly suggest you try Canturi by Stefano Canturi. It's marketed to women, but results being unisex to my nose. Very nice, and the beautiful bottle doesn't hurt either!
The only flaw is the low performance, but given the low prices on ebay, it's ok to overspray.

I agree with others that this is not dark in the sense that you seem to want. I must be hypersensitive to some note because I find its moss a bit too rough and unpleasant,this is not the usual chypre oakmoss, so i wouldn't buy it anyway.

For me, Dali is 'darker' in a sort of hellish way. I think a better adjective for Eucris is 'cold'.
