This could be good. I think the original is a modern classic. That being said, for some reason I never felt the need to own it, or any of its numerous flankers. My gut tells me I might make an exemption with this particular iteration.

Finally arrived in the mail today a greatly improved version of Ultimate.

My thoughts on this are Yummy!

Is it comparable more to the original or more toward something like Profumo or Absolute?

Still not available here in the local mall.
Would like to try it too.

Several Youtube reviewers seemed to be a little bit underwhelmed when sniffing it, the folks on German Parfumo forum seem to like it very much.
So more controversal thoughts on it than I'd expected.

This new release seems interesting.. I always loved the scent of the original Armani Code for Men but it's performance left a lot to be desired.. None of the Code flankers really were what I was looking for.. I wanted a louder Code that kept the DNA of the original intact, specifically the leather/suede note! Most of the flankers dropped the leather & amped up the sweetness instead.. This Armani Code Eau De Parfum looks like it keeps a lot of the same notes as the original & does include a suede note! So it looks like there is a chance this one might be closer to what I have been wanting from a Code flanker!

It's very comparable to the original with more weight. Nothing sweet smokey like profumo or absolute.

That's good news in my opinion! Is it safe to say this Eau De Parfum performs better than the original? Do you pick up on the suede note? The leather note was my favorite part of the original Armani Code.. Sadly, almost all of the flankers left out any leather or suede..

Now after Steven aka Redolessence and Justin Copeland also Dallas aka Chaos Fragrances and Ashton aka Gents Scents dropped their first impressions videos about the new Code EdP and are underwhelmed, too.

Ashton said he likes it less than Profumo, Absolu and Ultimate.

I really surprised that it gets such bad reactions, I'd expected it to be the next big hype around Youtube fragrance reviewers.

Still need to try it.

They all love Absolu which I thought was unbearably sweet garbage so I am not surprised they weren't excited by this one.

Armani Code Absolu is one of the fragrances with the biggest batch tolerances ever.
Every single batch smells different. Some are sickenly sweet, yes.

I have forgotten how the original smelled, but I remember I liked it back in the day. I need to sample this, but I am not sure I would like it. I think it probably is a case of too little too late, but we will see.

I don't know, haven't tried it yet.
But the original has a sweetness too. Of course not as much as Absolu.
