I'm in Rose Essentielle this morning. Thinking I want to smoke a cigarette and have a glass of wine at 7am. I will do neither. I believe instead I will add a bit of Tient de Niege to the mix and be a rebel that way. I am also not going to check my spelling to avoid the embarrassment of looking stupid.

Morning all! It's been a while since I've checked in. Sorry to go dark--I had a really bad bout of Covid with supplemental oxygen, hi dose steroids, the works. Convalescing at home I just didn't want to do anything but watch Turner Classic Movies and sleep! What a weird Christmas. To boot, until about three days ago, I was completely anosmic. Now even that is improving. This virus is no joke. I have no underlying health issues that would put me at risk for more serious illness and I'm not over 60 (almost!). Yet I had it pretty bad. My boyfriend, who does have risk factors, got infected and sailed through it. It's so unpredictable! I'm grateful to have had lots of support and wonderful medical care. Heck I'm grateful to be here at all. And I hope y'all are in line to get vaccinated if not vaccinated already.

I have much to catch up on here! It's good to see familiar faces...

Shycat : I can so relate to your sister graphic, and situation. There is nothing like a sisters. One short story: My then-teen daughter once railed at me, "Mom! Why did you tell Aunt Rachel. . . ?" about something. That's when I realized that a sister is who you tell everything to. Anyway, that's my definition.

. . . and . . . good Sunday to all! It is Sunday, tho mine got off to a weird start.
I woke up and thought, shit, it's Monday. Then I [accidentally] made my latte with buttermilk. I did wonder why the Nespresso frother was balky. Yes, it's Pandemic: Home Alone, but this is the first time I've ever not known it was Sunday. The middle of the week usually messes me up, and I invariable get to Thursday thinking, what?! Already? How the hell did I get here and why is my to-do list so unchecked-off?

Yes, I finished the buttermilk latte. It's actually not that bad, and got better as I finished it, with two dunks of mini biscotti, maybe because I added a tablespoon of light cream to the buttermilk. SOTD is that brunch-y frag Ralph Lauren Ralph Hot. It smells of the carbs and maple syrup I'm not eating.
