    What list?

I tried a few of theirs whilst in one of their stores but because of the general overpowering smell inside, I felt dizzy and thought I would pass out, so I hightailed it.

Breath of God was pretty good and I liked a couple more also but don't remember names. I must get some samples.

    Dirty - fresh juvenille mint
    Cardamom Coffee - and oud

Both very likeable. Cardamom Coffee though was repackaged and put into their Flagship exclusives and the price jacked up about 400%.

Breath of God was interesting but personally not a fan of the house.

My favourite is Twilight - lavender and tonka. It actually calms me and I've been spraying it before sleep.

I do like I'm Home (bitter cacao/coffee/benzoin) and Rose Jam (very strong and sweet jammy rose + vanilla + something that reminds me of patchouli but isn't), but they're not my favourites as I need a very specific mood to wear them. I think I spray a room with Rose Jam more often than myself. One spray to the air fills it.
I also tried What would love do? (Lemon, lavender, something else), it was kind of cool but not amazing to me.
I would love to try more.

It would have to be Breath of God for me as well. Very unique and interesting scent. Great name as well.

Agree...and the way they discontinue...then bring back...but only for online purchase...for a limited time, etc...

+ the awful packaging of some of their sprays...aka cleaning product spray bottles, (plastic !).

...but their creations are mostly ingenious and daring. I love that about Lush. The complete opposite of the designer generic shite being churned out for the past decade.

For me hard choice between BoG and Smuggler's soul, eventually went for Smuggler's soul. But I enjoy others as well.

+1 -- Looking at them, my expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised -- they seemed quite distinctive and bold

I just can't stand in their stores for any length of time

I remember wanting to try this last year before the first lockdown, but my intention got long forgotten once the chaos began.

Apparently, it's quite well respected amongst the members here, but I can't say that I've given it a full wearing myself. Yet.

I'm tempted to blind buy because the online store has it priced down with -50% (they are mostly around €80 for 100 ml) but as I clicked to buy the price remained at €80. Surely the full price for this is not meant to be €160 ???

l voted for 1000 Kisses, because of its unique orange marmalade scent of osmanthus & labdanum, but it was a tough choice between this, Smuggler's Soul & Sikkim Girls.

Vanillary is another great one, & while l own a bottle of Rose Jam, l agree that it's way too strong for me to actually wear much.

My all time favourite is probably Ginger, closely followed by The Olive Branch & Two Hearts, but these aren't on your list.

I voted for Smuggler's Soul, a very nice vetiver centric fragrance (more than sandlawood imo). That said, I only tried a few on the fly in store. One of them was the superstar Breath of God, that I hated.

I'd love to try The President's Hat, Dear John and Exhale (the woody "half", that together with the sweet fruity "half" (Inhale) composes Breath of God), but these seem to be discontinued / not distributed in the US, so I gave up.

    Yes it is haha

Some of their compositions are interesting in terms of creativity, but definitely not worth the retail price, as the ingredient's quality level unfortunately doesn't follow the creativity.
I got an 90% full 50ml bottle of Smuggler's Soul for ~$30 on ebay: glad I got it, but glad I haven't paid more, as it's what it's worth in my book.

I went with BoG but also, Dear John (not listed) would be a close second, and All Good Things a close third!

Icon, SOS, Rentless and Sappho all sound amazing. SOS regarding notes seems to be very similar to Karma (?).

An article on Sappho by the editor of fragrantica describes it as having a vibe of the Carons created 100 years ago. He even compares it to the likes of vintage Tabac Blond !! Notes: orris/ vanilla/ sandalwood/ Tonka/ tobacco/ jasmine. I'm very curious about this one.

I have not tried Sappho but anything mentioning old Carons has my attention. (The style of the house seems nothing like old carons though).

I have tried Rentless, it's an ok patch if I remember correctly but nothing out of the ordinary.

I find their stores a bit discombobulating. In the past, if I went in with a female, the SA's would pounce on us. If I was alone sometimes it was awkward. I feel like the stores have too much going on. Maybe a combination of all the colours, the way things are merchandised, the gregarious staff and the music. For that type of store, I want something calm, serene and genuinely friendly associates. Something spa like in feel. Luckily I stumbled onto a place, but selection isn't that great.

I also find their fragrances decent, but not that good. And when someone is wearing Lush product, you just know by the smell. And I don't mean that in a good way. Not sure what the signature smell style is, but its not charming lol.I mean its still better than the junk on department store counters and whatever rubbish YSL just released.

Breathe of God and Dirty are good enough though. I should probably smell more, but won't do that until Covid is over.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Pomegranate Noir, Midnight in Paris EDP, Feeling Man, Essence of John Galliano, Azzaro pour Homme (vintage),...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of Aramis Calligraphy Rose, Penhaligon's Esprit de Roi, PdE Ambre Russe, Jil Sander Feeling Man ....etc. I have samples to swap.

I do get a lot of your points. I found Lush irritating for several reasons and avoided the company until a friend I met was wearing Karma. It blew my mind. It was like a crazy neon version of Tabu from Dana.
So I had to buy it and at the same time started exploring the other perfumes. I found some very interesting, some very experimental and others awful. After a lot of testing I own Sikkim Girls/ Karma/ Breath of God/ Devils Nightcap/ The Bug/ Hellstone/ Lust/ The Voice of Reason/ Imogen Rose and Flowers Barrow. I find all of these to be very alive and constantly evolving, I think, due to the fact they try to use wherever possible natural essential oils. Recently when taking a bath I added a cap-full of Flowers Barrow to the water. The perfume went through so many different stages. It was an amazing experince and much later on it had evolved yet again into a beautiful aniseed and grassy smell.
Interestingly, Lush now has a new nose, Emma Dick - so I think this is giving the newer creations a different direction and vibe. Sappho, for example is from Emma Dick.

    David, thanks for that post.

A crazy neon version of Dana Tabu sounds good to me

I do like that they have a unique style in the world of mainstream fragrances. Its always nice to have some balance. I do find that there prices have driven up a bit recently. And the price of Sappho, while it does sound good, is a bit to high! But of course I understand and things are ultimately worth it depending on what we all decide.
