    Happy late birthday, Whitefluffy!

Khanada, hope your throat starts to heal and your voice comes back asap.

HoP, glad to hear your shingles is going to the end.

Didn't feel like posting in SOTD threads the past few days. I wore Ambre Extreme during the weekend and many different fragrances yesterday, so I didn't even know which one to mention here. Today I'm wearing Black Opium over Alaia body cream, they meld nicely. My Black Opium bottle is almost empty, so I feel like I want to just keep wearing it until it's all finished. I loved it so so much, I remember, but that magic is gone. Now I'm just wearing it without any emotions and it doesn't even smell good to me most days. And it's sad because it's the scent that got me here, I wanted to love it forever and thought I will. But on some days I still catch the glimpse of that magic I felt in it just several years ago, and these moments make me smile.

    Morning all!

l have the day off, & l'm getting stuck into my studies again this morning in Smuggler's Soul.

Tomorrow will be my my first day on the ward l'm being redeployed to, for goodness knows how long. l'm very nervous about it as it's been many years since l last worked on a ward, & a lot has changed. And l'll miss my usual work, which l enjoy & am very experienced in. But l've tried to prepare myself as much as l can, & l'll try to be brave!

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Going with a new arrival for the remainder of the day. Finally found the version I was after and for a remarkably reasonable price too. I know Mike is a fan of this one so I am in great company

I'm finishing off my sample of Decennial Nuit Epicee from the set of Decennial fragrances for Luckyscent that I purchased years ago. This one was my least favorite when I first sampled them, and that has not changed. It is a little cumin heavy for me.

Still continuing my perambulations around the Mediterranean, today I'm venturing off to the sandy dunes and salty air at the sea edge in
Fleurs de Sel by Miller Harris.

This particular bottle made the trans-Atlantic crossing by sea, in the company of the wonderful Ebenas. It's more well-travelled than I am.

Hello, everyone! Healing and continued improvement wishes for khanda, ine, Quarry, and HoP, plus anyone else I might've missed. Teardrop, go get 'em (but as Shycat so wisely recommends, please be as safe as possible!) and *thank you* for your caregiving!

Jon, I not only want to sample Tyger Tyger, I want that pic! It wouldn't 'go' anywhere I can think of, but it's really compelling!

I've spent the last few days in Kerosene Canfield Cedar, which pretty much refused to open up for me. Like one of the reviewers, I found I was pretty anosmic to most of the notes mentioned. Today I reached into the Kerosene sample box and got one with a MUCH bigger scent profile, at least for my nose: Kerosene Unknown Pleasures.

Got a huge blast of beramot/citrus, which quickly moved to something super sweet that I couldn't quite identify until I checked the notes. Waffle cone! That and sweet lemon and coconut is where it's settled to for now. It smells really good, but almost headache-inducingly sweet and not what I want to smell like, at least not right now. The waffle cone note is pretty remarkable, though. And it's one of those huge, hand-rolled high end waffle cones, too.

    Terrific Tuesday to all!

Unknown Pleasures fragrance notes: Earl grey tea, Lemon, Bergamot, Honeycomb, Tonka bean, Caramel, Vanilla, Waffle cone.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson
