Should I be worried if FragranceX sent me old Creed bottle?

I ordered a 100ml bottle of Creed Himalaya from FragranceX, and noticed that the batch number is 17R01. This would make it about three years old. Do fresh soapy scents like Himalaya age well like Aventus, or should I just plan on using this bottle quicker than I had anticipated? It smells a little different than a decant I have (which is presumably from a newer batch) but it doesn't smell bad.

I know there is a huge market for vintage fragrances, but I'm just curious if this applies to all types of fragrances. I don't want to pay $200 for an old bottle.

It should be just fine, it is not the most popular Creed fragrance which could be the reason of older stock still being available most Creeds age just fine and actually age for the better enjoy it!

Expect to get older batches on the grey market. If you want newer ones you would have to buy at department stores or directly

Totally agree! Your bottle is a toddler, not even an adolescent, in terms of its lifetime. It probably smells better than a newer one.

It should be fine. I have found that most Creed fragrances get better with age. My 2007 bottle of Himalaya still smells great.
