    Afternoon/Evening/Morning all,

Just a post and dash for now. Joining in this week’s spontaneous, likely unconscious, let’s-wear-florals, despite the winter weather. I’m wearing a sample from J-Scent called Usubene, mostly sweet white florals, with osmanthus, apricot, and peach, pretty, in a watercolor kind of way.

Btw, how did I post on a new day before hednic? Disorienting.

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

    Hello!
It's still snowing snowing snowing and the world looks like a postcard. People have to dig out their cars and city mayor wrote on his Facebook alarming people not to go jogging or walking in the parks today, as over-encumbered by snow trees are a threat right now. My cat is refusing to go to the balcony because the snow is wet and cold even though it's not cold outside at all, just barely below 0. Everyone is cheering for the proper winter.

Such weather calls for a citrus, so Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune today.

    Hello everyone!

I'm still stuck on my vanilla fixation... Decided to do a side-by-side comparison of Kerosene Sweetly Known and Kerosene Winter of '99.

I like them both quite a lot! I think overall I prefer WO99, but find SK more interesting and compelling to sniff throughout the day. No final decisions, other than I really like this house. And I think I'm going to try layering these two...

    Have a wonderful Wednesday, all!

Winter of 99 fragrance notes: Smoldering vanilla, Woods, Molasses, Nutmeg.

Sweetly Known fragrance notes: Cardamom, Cocoa, Sugar, Burnt caramel, Vanilla, Musk.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

Good afternoon. Uncharacteristically rose today in Archipelago Botanicals Charcoal Rose lotion, was much too strongly scented to put anything on with it. Nice clean rose, something that would smell very good in linens but not sure about on me. Maybe for sleeping, but it's so STRONG.

Wow. Even though I know that's Celsius, it still points out how much the weather is a matter of perspective. I'd be huddled indoors and crying at that temp.

JakeStieb, I hope you have a great winter holiday. Snowboarding sounds like a perfect sport for social distancing.

Today I'm breaking out the old-school "Y" by Yves Saint Laurent. Hoping to smell like Catherine Deneuve.

Yeah, it's normal to sulk for 7 months a year around here and to only come out to finally enjoy life some time in May.

    Rynegne, congrats on your expectanthood!

Kewart, a health scare is the worst. Glad all's well.

Dear Daughter made the best cake for our anniversary yesterday. It was vegan, and the dough portion turned out like a hybrid between a cake and a brownie while the frosting was half way between frosting and fudge. Yum. More chocolate for me today in the form of Guerlain Coquin.
No one knows what their tomorrow will bring.
