    Default Fiat 500 For Him

While waiting to get a scrip filled at my pharmacy, I saw 100ml bottles of Fiat 500 For Him going for A$15 (US$11.55).
So I blind bought one out of idle curiosity.

My wife really liked it, and so did I.
It reminds me of modern style soft Dior type scents.
It seems to have pretty decent longevity, with reasonable sillage if applied liberally.

    Notes are
Top Notes - Grapefruit, Sichuan pepper, Pink pepper
Heart Notes - Geranium, Florentine iris, Black pepper
Base notes - Benzoin, Patchouli, Vanilla

The bottle is cute, presumably looking like the front end of a Fiat 500.

I really have no idea why it has been cast into the waste heap of scents, given its current price.

    Anybody else tried it?
    Regards,
    Renato

I wonder if the unusual but nifty bottle was the downfall of this otherwise pretty good fragrance?

Funny, just read about this yesterday, even though its been out for a while.

I was browsing a favorite Ebay decant seller's current inventory and saw she was selling 5 ml samples for $8 shipped, I thought the bottle looked odd, so I searched it on Fragrantica, where I found reviews with people mostly saying it's pleasant but similar to the Dior Homme line. At that point I wrote it off. I'm satisfied with the DH, DHI, DHS, DHE that I have, I think Dior Homme is already the perfect men's iris frag. Not really keen on trying anymore, unless it's something completely different.

Oh well - I suppose the bottle design could be viewed as being a courageous decision.

Lamborghini, Ferrari and Mercedes Benz scents weren't game to try it.
    Cheers,

    5ml for US$8 - that's an astounding profit margin.

Maybe it would be the perfect bottle to keep in your car, for the odd time you'd like a DH-like scent handy.

    Weird bottle design.

It looks like one of the characters from the cartoon movie "Cars", with eyes and a mouth.

Well the Fiat 500 is discontinued so maybe stock up to sell later...... no wait, that's the car that's discontinued!!! (at least in N. American markets, not sure if that applies everywhere....) Could this be a first, where the car goes away before the cologne??? Or is someone still producing Yugo for men???
Currently wearing: Intense Cafe by Montale

I forgot to mention that lately I keep finding a cheap scent every time I go to fill a scrip at my pharmacy, Fiat 500 being my latest.

The last time I paid A$15 for a 50ml bottle of Oscar De La Renta Gentleman - which is probably the best "Gentleman" scent I've come across, smells refined but lasting all day, instead of the typically light scents with that label.

Earlier still, I paid A$20 for a 50ml bottle of Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne - pretty good for summer.

I wonder what will be there next time?
    Cheers,
    Renato
