    Default Lalique Pour Homme

I just blind bought Lalique Pour Homme; anything I should keep in mind? Is it something I should be concerned about over spraying? Any thoughts?

Enjoy it, its a great Oriental Fougere for the money.
I use 2 sprays of the EDP under my shirt on my chest and its perfect for me.

While the performance is good, little to no risk (s) of over spraying this one.
All in all, congratulations for this highly rewarding choice- a both great value for its price and good performance scent, as well as a versatile classic.

It's a lovely old-school semi-oriental fougère. If you like stuff such as Guerlain Héritage, Creed Bois du Portugal, or even Tom Ford Noir, you'll be in good hands.

For me the top/mids dominate, and so it's more in the Habit Rouge ballpark.

Agreed!! Also, for whatever reason, this was okay but not great on first wear or two, but the more times I wore it the more I liked it. Maybe don't expect to be knocked out on first wearing....

The Lion. I've heard good things about Equus, but haven't really heard much of anything about Faune. What are your thoughts on them?

Glad you like the fragrance WiscoMan. I agree with your statement. Classy and carefree.

Faune EdT is decent. It won't rock my world ever ( hence why I passed on a bottle). But its a nice scent if found at a reasonable price. Longevity is limited at 5 hours and radiance is close to the body. Nice semi sweet woody amber dry down that was the thing 20 years back. But in Faune its quite restrained.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Pomegranate Noir, Midnight in Paris EDP, Feeling Man, Essence of John Galliano, Azzaro pour Homme (vintage),...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of Aramis Calligraphy Rose, Penhaligon's Esprit de Roi, PdE Ambre Russe, Jil Sander Feeling Man ....etc. I have samples to swap.

Sorry for my late answer. As far as i can remember, one of the three Lalique I own (Faune, Equus and Lion) was acceptable; I don't like the others. For many years, I haven't worn them.

Here are some pictures; the bottle is the same, but the engraved symbol differs.

Is the Lion more present/assertive and outgoing than Equus the Beautiful but Introverted Horse? Equus feels inward-drawn, almost claustrophobic in its warm, dense sweetness. Not that I don't like it but it's frustrating. I'd like to whip that horse sometimes.
    Spray less, love more.

Haven't tried Faune, but Lion is certainly more assertive than Equus.

And I'm guessing the Lion must be much more fresh/zesty/energetic than Equus, given the lavender and citrus? Looking at the notes, Lion feels like something I would like, but I've become wary with blind buying Laliques. It's cheap though so I'm tempted.

Indeed, it seems to become scarce...I'll give a try in the next days at the three Lalique I own.
