Default Where to buy quality natural oud?

    Hello all,

i would like to find good seller of oud (i am interested in different countries)
Country where i live has very poor choice ( only sintetics) or some attars in indian shop ( i think there not what i need for work with perfume) Also i tried arabian attars, but i think compounds there more sintetic that natural ( but cost)

I like good quality of material and i am ready to buy expensive. Just would not to buy a fake. Share please the websites where i can order, please

    Thanks :-)

You will find many recommendations and reviews here: https://www.basenotes.net/forums/278-Oudh-Ud-Aoud

This is where I went to make my decisions.

Example threads, in no order of importance:

You can also dig deeper at: https://www.ouddict.com/

Although the fact that a given individual is an "Artisanal Perfumer" there, which I just noticed, is an utter joke and does cast some doubt on the site. Most likely it's a pay-to-play thing to have that title and be given that space on that site. That seems the only remotely plausible explanation. It couldn't possibly be based on merit. However please let's just leave that at that, as more specific individual-identifying discussion would send the thread swirling down the porcelain throne, to be sure.

    Getting back to oud!

Of course, further recommendations here would be fantastic. We do have some here as well who seem quite knowledgeable on oud!

And under inspiration i tried make accord of oud. i must to say that it got it realistic. But i would like compare with real oud from Birma, Viet , Thai and Cambodja.... )))))

    You're very welcome, Agonhoun!

I have enjoyed each of the Ensar Ouds I have purchased, as well as the free samples, and certainly there is great variety, and even moreso with how they work on skin. It seems very much individual choice. While I am very impressed by the Ensars, since I am new to oud I thought it better to point to recommendations from many people, so you may see which seems of most appeal.

Oud Assafi, sold by Firmenich but produced by Jalali Agarwood, is also an excellent natural oud IMO. (All other ouds by Firmenich are mostly or entirely synthetics.) At 5% or 10% dilution, it's not that costly to get a small bottle yet is still strong. It is quite different from any of the Ensars I have, but then again, all the Ensars are quite different from each other.

It is vastly superior to natural ouds (or supposedly so) I got from others at price levels such as $50/gram.

yes, after your message i found Ensar and spent 1 hour read all interesting things bout oud. ( i didnt finish yet )) I will order the set of samples from them. The description abou oud is impressive. An interesting thought came to me that if I am faced with a choice, I am ready to give up food rather than olfactory adventures with natural rare things ))))))

In a way it is good I don't have much money because if I did, the amount that would go into ouds would be irresponsible!!

I will try Oud Firmenich too, thank you . I have a Oud Oliffac from IFF 30216020 ( reconstruction) and this is the most natural smell of oud that i have in my collection , a specially in combination with trisamber 10% .
