Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Good morning /afternoon everyone I've messed up my sleepingpattern again.... I blame being home due to my shoulder. The weather is really wet and dull, so at least I haven't missed much today Speaking about Genealogy... My dad used to do some research on that field. He was lucky and managed to go back to the 15-16 century. Aparantly on his dad's side of the family we are Danish. On his mother's side partly Sami. It would be fun to know more on her side of the family.... My mother hasn't done any research, but her Grandpa was Swedish. Anyway, yesterday's opera was very different from the La Boheme I'm used to (took place in outer space), but I enjoyed it. Sotd is Chypre Siam. Have a great day everyone

I'm wearing Le Lion de Chanel today. It is very windy, which might affect our weekly outdoor brunch. We'll see.

It was suppose to be the men in La boheme looking back to the actual story of La boheme (from a spaceship) . They are low on air and start to get more and more delirius. It even worked with the lines of the story too. Suprisingly....

That interpretation of La Boeheme sounds vaguely influenced by Kurt Vonnegut!

I wore Chanel Sycomore EDP (from a sample) this morning and have switched to 1980s vintage Ysatis. Glorious!

Still surrounded by boxes and my body is really sore (especially my feet) but I don't think I hurt myself (Cross Fit keeps me in shape) but just am tired and a bit overwhelmed being in a new place, neighborhood, etc. I got the kitchen set up normal and my closet (and my fragrances - but not my fragrance samples...they're a mess!)

I didn't wear any fragrances until mid day when I put on a big honkin spray of this one:

Mike, in a few days, you’ll be so happy when you look around and see how the new place has become yours. I’m so happy for you and Giancarlo! Is there anything that already sticks out as something you love about your new home? You know, it’s funny - when I move, the kitchen, my closet, my bedroom, and my perfumes are the things I have to finish first, too!

David and I thoroughly enjoyed our staycation in the revitalized Omaha Midtown neighborhood and had a great, relaxing day. For bedtime, I’m wearing Parfumerie Generale Cuir d’Iris.
