Does this have a Kiste vibe? The descriptions I've read so far, lead to that type of fragrance. If so, that's not a bad thing at all. Honey, peach and tobacco? Sounds pretty good.

For me, this smells closer to Red Tobacco than Back to Black.

To those of you who've smelled it: would you say that it's unisex enough for a female to wear?

I've been looking for a good tobacco scent to add to my wardrobe, and a honeyed peach version sounds right up my alley. For reference, I love Havana by Aramis and don't care for classic Tabac Blonde.

Journey Man? Though sillage is slightly muted (that's my general experience with Amouages, so I usually overspray).

I've smelled it, and it has too much of that usual Amouage opulence-overload for my taste. I'm hoping that Tobacolor will have a lighter, more straightforward character and texture.

I just checked eBay to see if any sample sellers had it yet, and there are none in my region.

Dang, I'd be all over it if it smelled like a freshly opened pack of Marlboro cigarettes, but Dunhill. Too European for me.

Nowhere did I say that. If you've ever noticed what I wear, then you could probably guess that I have no cares about what other people think about my perfume choices and neither do I care about the choices of others.

Back to the topic of this thread, initial reactions of Tobacolor sound promising. Let's see if it deserves a place alongside the pre-Maison Christian Dior fragrances.

To my nose - not especially unisex but rather masculine leaning. I put it on yesterday evening and it reminded me of something but I couldn’t figure out what. Sure there are elements of Tobacco Vanille, but it was something else I was thinking of.

It starts with dry and dirty tobacco and the dirty aspect just grows stronger at least the first four hours. (Then I went to bed). Now the morning after I can still smell it strongly so staying power is excellent. The dirt have recided and it is sweeter. I never smelt any of the flowers mentioned. I like it better now when most of the dirt is gone. In the drydown it is a little similar to Montabaco from Ormonde Jayne minus the latter’s over the top almost cloyingly sweet drydown.

The salesperson recommended to mix it with Santal Noir, and that was indeed nice to me, taking off the dirty edge a bit (we sprayed that mixture on a paper).

So if you’re interested in what it immediately reminded of in the store, it came to me this morning:
Michael for Men (2001 Michael Kors) - at least my memory of it. Dried fruit and dirty tobacco, maybe a little suede. It should be up my alley but ultimately it was too dirty. I can see it being a big hit among basenoters though. And it is nothing like Tabac Blond.

Just based off one full wearing: I am not a fan of this one. I really like the notes, but it just doesn't work for me. The honey is what I think is what kills it - initial blast I had high hopes, but it quickly became cloying.

Just received my decant yesterday, thanks to TheAntagonist. Tried it last night, and am having mixed feelings about it. The first two hours were great -- a very realistic representation of blond tobacco, and definitely unisex, with fruits that were in the mid-range between dry and juicy. But then it seemed like it started to fall apart a bit. It might have been the honey becoming too prominent. And I didn't sense much, if any, smoke, which I was hoping for.

That opening though was very much like tearing the cellophane off a fresh pack of quality cigarettes. Quite captivating.

I need to give it a full wearing tomorrow to give it a fair chance. So far I'm on the fence.
