Dr. T. confirms that Miss Galimard smells good but not femme—by no means a hairy-chested masculine, but certainly not undudely.

That established, I scrubbed the remnants so I could wear my SOTE, Galimard Peggia. Alas, at first sniff, this puts the “gal” in “Galimard,” and not a particularly sophisticated or pretty gal at that. Nobody could mistake this fruity-floral sweetness with hints of cinnamon for Arpège. I’ll give it some time to settle in, but, as of now, Peggia is less Lanvin than it is Hello Kitty.

Once the sugar burned off, I was left with the scent of cheap lipstick, so I scrubbed again and put on Taba. This is neither Tabu nor Tabac Blond, but some sort of allspice and sarsaparilla kind of thing. Not bad: we’ll see where it goes.

OK, it goes to trading card stick gum. Which isn’t as bad as it sounds, but also not all that much better. Still better than Peggia.

wearing my vintage Halston Z-14 by Halston (London) today. It is cold and crisp outside, and this seems to suit the cold.

Remember that while it is perfectly acceptable to criticize the content of a post - criticizing the poster is not.
Mean spirited, nasty, snide, sarcastic, hateful, and rude individuals on Basenotes don't warrant or deserve my or other Basenoters' acknowledgement or respect.
