A great light, "sporty" version of Shalimar, with a wonderful combination of the Shalimar EdC's light animalic touch with a fresher, more modern overall take on Shalimar. Enjoyable!

    Coty - Émeraude

This was my mother-in-law’s scent when Dr. T. was a child, so I hope it brings her back fond memories.

As for me, I find it too much like the aspects of Shalimar I don’t like. Here’s hoping I’ll prefer l’Origan.

I love the pictures of the bottles.

The sample bottle I have is a mini that is all black. I find the scent has a Adelehydic opening similar to Ferre by Ferre. Eugenol and Cinnamon provide a tannic counterpoint to a sweet berried booziness. A base of Softly Benzoined Sandalwood and Amber works with to a light Powder steering this to the Feminine luxury. Lovely scent from the nose that produced the bomb La Nuit de Paco Rabanne.

You've just reminded me that I need to pick up a bottle of the very excellent Léonard de Léonard (1989). I only own a mini of this superb ultra-green chypre. Galbanum for days.

When evaluating galbanum perfumes, I ask myself "Is this enough galbanum to make Epapsiou cry?" If the answer is "yes", then it's an automatic purchase.
