Continuing with Guerlain, and today it's:

    Vol de Nuit EdC

This is from a vintage sample courtesy of a generous BNer (about a year ago - many thanks!). The EdC concentration is one that I can see anyone wearing, if applied lightly, and I'm enjoying it on this warm spring day. However, I cannot say the same about the vintage pure parfum concentration, which I just received a sample of last week. The parfum version needs to be for my wife - I can't see myself wearing it, at least in this warmer weather. I'll try it again at the end of the year when it turns a bit cooler.

BTW, I'm surprised the EdC is not listed in the directory.

It's amazing that any of us who did live through it still have functioning noses.

I've pretty much written off GBH Red, but I opened up

this bottle as it was made in Holland with 85% Vol.

We'll see if my opinion changes this afternoon.

Update to Guerlain Vol de Nuit parfum: yesterday evening I again sampled the pure parfum of VdN. In retrospect, I was too hasty in my first impression of this one, as I didn't really get to a late drydown (at least 3 hours after application). While I still hold the opinion of it leaning feminine and quite a powder bomb, that opinion is only valid for the first hour or so. When allowed to get to a late dry down, it becomes something quite nice.
