This is a great purchase. I really love it. I could probably have gone for the 100ml bottle because I'll probably end up wearing it a lot.

Last day of Ex Nihilo French Affair before I go back to rotating. I'm really not sorry I spent a week with it, though.

Do it! It truly is a good one to have.

Glad you hung out with us this week. Like I said, I'll have to check out French Affair. I've not tried any from the brand...any other stand outs?

    I mean, I have a 250ml bottle, and I'm not sorry!

Many of the Ex Nihilo line tend to be pretty sweet--perhaps a bit too sweet for me. Some of them smell a bit too synthetic for me at times, too. They do have a number of really good ones besides French Affair, though. Fleur Narcotique is the one that put them on the map. At first, I thought it was a bit too sweet, but I have some samples, and I do like it but not enough to have a bottle. Bois d'Hiver is very much worth checking out, as is Cologne 352. The entire Babylone collection (Amber Sky, Atlas Fever, Midnight Special) is very good. Venenum Kiss seemed to be pretty good, though I didn't get a chance to try it on skin. If you like fruity florals, Gold Immortals is nice, and I've worn that a few times from a sample. I strongly considered getting Cuir Celeste or Vetiver Moloko, but neither of them performed quite as well as I would like.

Their line is full of a lot of sweet, fruity florals, which isn't really my thing, but I can appreciate them a bit. I mentioned Gold Immortals already, and it's the one I like most of those. Their newest, Honore Delights, is pretty high quality--I have a bunch of samples of it--but at the same time, it's kind of just a version of a sweet flower-y fragrance that a young, stylish woman with expensive taste would wear.

In Paris (and perhaps some of their other boutiques--maybe also Bergdorf Goodman), they can personalize their perfumes from either their Initiales or Babylone collections. One day when I'm able to travel to Europe again, I have been thinking I might have them do just that. Perhaps they could do something to Vetiver Moloko that would amp up the performance just a tad.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. I'm not quite into fruity florals, but will pretty much give anything a try. Will have to definitely keep my ears up for this house and the ones you mentioned.

I've heard good thing about that one but when I ordered my incoming sample pack from Mancera it was unfortunately not avaliable.

Versace Eau Fraiche is a good one, though it's still a bit cool around my parts for it.

I'm up and down with Hindu Kush, so I figured doing a week-long "study" should give me more insight. It's been pretty good so far.

I haven't worn Eau Fraiche in a decade. I remember liking that one when I first got into collecting.

Same for me. It does have a rather harsh fake wood note that bothers me a bit. It's decent when lingering in the air. I bet you've move passed this one in that decade
