Default Looking for a masculine floral

I'm on the hunt for something floral and masculine. Not too soapy, not too squeaky clean. Fragrances that come to mind are Fleur du Male, Kouros even, Dior Homme Cologne. Not quite the Pradas - too clean. Ideally I'd want something not too thick, with more of an airy quality to it (so not exactly like Kouros, obviously, but that same sensuality and floral vibe to it), without citruses completely taking over the florals. I was thinking something in the Penhaligon family initially, but am not super familiar.

Anyone have something in mind that fits the description?

Kouros Fraicheur may be a good possibility.

    Iquitos also.
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

Bel Respiro, earthy green galbanum and crisp vetiver, powdery iris and saddle leather with a nice floral base. Brings about a crisp spring day. Wears quite soft but persistent through out the day, perfectly balanced and not obnoxious at all.

Egoiste comes to mind. The best imo, Lanvin for Men but hard to find, there's an after shave 100ml for 70 bucks on ebay right now. After shave is a good alternative, the edt is very tenacious, it wouldn't be too weak I suspect.

Some green florals would do. Insense is discontinued, but I think it can be found here and there.
In niche, Lyric Man, some rose, a bit too masculine perhaps, but well made.

Lapidus Sport pour Homme comes across as a masculine floral to me. Its not hard to find and the price is low enough to take a risk on a blind buy. Not too clean smelling either.

I have not tried it, but from what I have read, Le Galion Sang Bleu sounds like a masculine floral that you may want to try as well.

Quite a few Penhaligons that might be possibilities. The first two, the classics, Hammam Bouquet and English Fern. Do you like rose? Hammam Bouquet is all about a heavy/dark rose with old style musk and jasmine. There's the usual debate about vintage versus current and the farther vintage you go the "stronger" and perhaps more animalic or masculine it will be. English Fern is very sharp, with the florals all classic green style scent. I haven't found much else like it. I think it's safe to say these are probably both fairly polarizing with more people in the love or hate then neutral camp.

Another rose scent that is a little more safe is Opus 1870. Strong rose, pepper, some light unusual citrus notes, and some woods. I love this one in cold weather.

    A few more to consider:

Zizonia - main floral is geranium, with some spices and citrus. Can be found easily at discounters at modest prices.
Juniper Sling - does juniper count as floral?? This is like it sounds, like some high quality gin...
Elixir - rose and other florals with some incense. This one shows up at crazy prices but not sure it ever really sells at those or not
Esprit du Roi - this has more floral notes than the rest of the suggestions. It fits the house as it is pleasant but not loud and well blended, and isn't hard to find at a decent price. It's one that never seems to be discussed here, so perhaps bonus points if wanting something not common. I have a hard time picking out each floral note in this but it is a nice blend and quite easy to wear. Not as sure where it lies on the masculine vs unisex line.

For masculine rose, Cartier Declaration d'un Soir and Etro ManRose. (Amouage Lyric Man I find too feminine and bright.)

In my opinion a much better Creed Mayfair, one of the strangest parfume names: Confessions of a Garden Gnome by Fort and Manle. A masculine garden, actually.

Have to like violet/violet leaf! Floral - yes. Masculine - yes. Not soapy - yes. Not sqeaky clean - yes. Subtle airy quality - yes. Sensual and a little mysterious - yes!

Rosendo Mateu Line? I have only tried nº5 which is a floral gem, my favourite of the kind (unisex, leaning masculine).
I am eager to sample their other offerings

    Excellent one.
Also try Portrait of A Lady, L’Eau d’Hiver, Dans Tes Bras (musky floral), L’Eau Serge, De Profundis, Joop! Homme, Hermès Hiris.

+1 for Lyric Man (it’s clean and dirty at the same time), Reflection Man and Déclation D’Un Soir.
I don’t understand. It is so vast that surpasses all understanding.Understanding is always limited. But not understanding can have no boundaries.I feel like I'm much more complete when I don't understand. Not understanding, like I say,is a gift. Not understanding, but not as a simple-minded.The good thing is to be intelligent and not understand. It's a strange blessing, like having craziness without being crazy. It is a meek disinterest,it is a stupid sweetness.
