Easier to post my SotD in the morning now as the daylight savings adjustments in the U.K. and Australia have started for our autumn/winter - the daily automated thread now starts here at 8am instead of 10am.

I'm wearing GGA pour Femme by Gucci today.

Have a good day and take care!

    Morning all!

lt looks like my MIL might be discharged from hospital today or tomorrow, as long as some help at home can be arranged for her. Mr teardrop will stay with her for a couple of days to get her settled.

lt's proper cold & frosty here today, but the sun is shining. l'm wearing Seville a l'Aube for another late shift.

    Hello, everyone!

Continuing my way through the box of Kerosene samples, in Kerosene Wood Haven. True to its name, plus the multi-citrus top notes remind me of furniture polish (anyone else here remember "Lemon Pledge"?). I think this is a "solid" scent in multiple senses of the word - I very much enjoy how it smells, though I'd be more inclined to use it as a room fragrance rather than on my body.

    Wonderful Wednesday to everyone!

Wood Haven fragrance notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Black pepper, Pink peppercorn, Juniper leaf, Ginger, Vetiver, Cedar, Guaiacwood.

That's really good news about your mother-in-law, teardrop! What a relief for you and Mr. teardrop.

It's a moody spring morning here, and the trees all have noticeable green pops on their branches, but the leaves have not unfurled yet. This is one of my favorite looks because I really love being able to see the trees' branching structure and to see through them, especially in the forest. I love spring.

A light application of Rogue Perfumery Chypre Siam seemed just right for this morning.

Good morning everyone I'm up late since I have a nightshift tonight and the following night. The weather is actually pretty nice, but we have lots of snow on the ground again. Teardrop, that is such good news I'm happy for you and Mr Teardrop Sotd is Attraction. I've had this for ages and I want to finish my bottle. Today seems like a good day to wear it. Have a great day everyone

Jon, do you know the name of the lake and town in your photo?

It's a storybook beautiful day here: 74F perfect degrees, sunny, light spring breezes -- and most importantly, zero humidity. My lawn has just been mowed and the scent of cut grass is wafting in through the windows. It's giving me a craving for ivy leaves, so I'm taking a double dose of them today:

An undercoat of Lolita Lempicka original EDP, topped with a spray of Diptyque Eau de Lierre.

I glad for the good news on your MIL, Teardrop.

I have some good news to share, too! My nephew's wife succeeded with her second try of in-vitro fertilization!!! We are all thrilled and she's carried to 13 weeks now, so although we remain cautious in our words (too much pressure would make a loss even worse for her) everyone is very happy and fingers are crossed.

CuddleCat, I would love to see you be the first poster of the day occasionally.

I'm wearing Jicky today. I'll never forget the shock the first time I smelled it all those years ago. I ordered a batch of small decants when I was a newbie and opened the parcel while in my car. I decided to try Jicky first and wow, just wow! My current FB is the parfum concentration, not the edp shown on SOTD. When I was new I didn't pay attention to such details. Now that I've racked up 35 wears I'm not inclined to correct it. I rarely wear Jicky anymore. I have to be in a special mood.

Heartening news about your MIL, dear teardrop

Perfect weather, sunny and 70s. My sis and I visited Cleveland's historic Lake View Cemetery. I donned Jacomo Silences for the visit, even as last night's Weil Noir bath oil peeked through, like a black cat sneaking a look at a sunny day, from behind Venetian blinds. Oh, and I saw the family stone:

It's so beautiful I let it fill my entire screen so I could just project myself into it. Intriguing, too -- it's such a tiny town but all the buildings in it are very, very large.

That was my first thought too, but the tone is too high-pitched, it doesn't have that low, trombone-ish tone of a crow.
