Was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for boozy scents to wear this summer.
I love VIW but I hate the performance of it. I also love RD Enigma but I wouldn't wear it in the summer.

I love VIW but I hate the performance of it. I also love RD Enigma but I wouldn't wear it in the summer.
I would suggest Frappin 1270 and Mona di Orio Vanille. These would work for the summer in addition to the cooler months.

Bal d'Afrique?
Though on my skin it's quite feminine.
Idole by Lubin for any time of year.

Paris Fidji is a good one that nobody talks about. It may be hard to find now, I'm not sure. This is a boozy rum with a lot of citrus, it's a bit creamy too.
Holister Socal may work too. Haven't worn mine in a while, but it's a pina colada and boozy rum sort of smell, very tropical and inviting, very long lasting too.

It may depend on how "boozy" you want it to be.
ST BARTS is very poolside margarita kind of vibe.
GUERLAIN HOMME is very mojito.
Neither are very potent and I'm getting a tad of an "I like 'em loud" vibe from the OP. Maybe I'm wrong.
Sorry to hear VIRGIN ISLAND WATER not performing for you. Somewhat oddly, VIW is beast on me.
I guess this one is fairly "rum-my." It's really a terrific underrated scent and would wear pretty strong in summer.
A favorite of mine. Artful...
Between Covid and retirement I don't get out much. But when I do, I smell real good.
If you have a few thousand lying around, grab a bottle of Roja - Parfum De La Nuit 2.
Best booze!
Guerlain Homme EdP has a very nice mojito note. I love it in summer nights as a night go out frag.
Bvlgari Man In Black Cologne is a lighter version of the original and very suitable for evening wears during summer.
I'd give Amouage Sunshine Men a test. It's got a sweet sense too it and sort of a boozy vibe.
Still Life in Rio by Olfactive Studio is a nice boozy summer scent.
Calvin klein revael man is fresh, boozy, good performer and smells good imo, it 's also sweet
The newest from D.S. & Durga, St. Vetyver, is really good and matches your description perfectly. Good news: it's also slightly less expensive than Creed, and lasts longer, too.
Just note that St. Vetyver is a completely different scent than VIW -- this one has a really unique rum note, vetiver of course, and some great citrus at the top.
Nasomatto Baraonda.
I don’t understand. It is so vast that surpasses all understanding.Understanding is always limited. But not understanding can have no boundaries.I feel like I'm much more complete when I don't understand. Not understanding, like I say,is a gift. Not understanding, but not as a simple-minded.The good thing is to be intelligent and not understand. It's a strange blessing, like having craziness without being crazy. It is a meek disinterest,it is a stupid sweetness.
Great recommendations already, also adding (perhaps with fewer sprays/dabs) Eau des Baux and Siwa by Memo Paris, while also Zara White Tag-this latter one with minimal boozy notes, at any rate of a very fresh, icy, minty citrus type

Saint Julep by Imaginary Authors.
It's sweet mint boozy, perfect for Spring and Summer with moderate performance.
Juniper Sling.... smells like good gin!!
Personal Top 10:
Guerlain Vetiver, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum, Cartier Declaration Essence, YSL Live Jazz, Terre d'Hermes EDT, Richard James, Azzaro Pour Homme, Monsieur de Givenchy, Eau de Rochas Homme
Akro Haze.
Vodka on the Rocks from Kilian Paris
Still Life In Rio![]()
My personal favourite is Freeway by 4160 Tuesdays. It's not predominantly boozy but the rum&brandy undertones are rather lovely.
