    Default Weight of perfume

Is it possible for two brand new bottles of perfume from the same brand, both the same size in ML, to weigh slightly different amounts?

I have two brand new bottles of Tom Ford private blend perfume. One is oud wood and the other is tobacco vanille, both 100ml bottles and both with the cellophane still on but they weigh different amounts. Is this normal as they are not the same fragrance but from the same line?

Also I have two brand new bottles of 50ml Roja Parfums Qatar both with the seal still on but they also weigh slightly different amounts even though they are exactly the same fragrance.

I have not noticed this issue until recently when I started weighing my scents.

I hope I have phrased this well enough so that it is understandable and any help would be appreciated. Thanks all!

Perhaps the difference in the fabrication and or weight of the empty vessel holding the liquid might account in slight differences in overall weight. Just a guess.

You didn't explain "slightly". The quantity of the juice might differ a tiny bit, just as the thickness of the glass.

If none of these, then surely there's a mouse in one of the bottles.

yeah, what do you mean by "slightly"? I would be shocked if they both weighed exactly the same amount, to be completely honest.

Yes. In spite of the common belief, variability in packaging production is a reality within a given brand, and most of time is no sign of something being fake, if it's where you're going to.

How "slightly" different are we talking?

Also, curiosity is killing me... why do you weigh the bottles?
Between Covid and retirement I don't get out much. But when I do, I smell real good.

If you're weighing perfumes... maybe you've missed the point of the hobby.

This....All it takes is a slight cut difference on one of the interior cardboard or paper fillers to make a small difference....

There is likely more variance in the weight of the glass bottle vs the weight of a given volume of fragrance.
