My happiest event of the past week was that I found a cat breath deodorizer that actually works. Pickles the Cat is in prime health, both dentally and digestively, but he had breath that could stop a charging rhino. Pickles 2.0 is now much more pleasant company

Cook.Bot I've never had a cat that had bad breath. Congratulations on solving that issue!

I've spent my morning pulling weeds, weeds, and more weeds. My neighbor installed a stone terrace in the back corner of his yard. I am in awe--it looks totally wonderful, perfect and professional, with a raised dais for an iron fire pit. I am inspired.

I'm inside now, watching the clock to make my vaccine appointment after a mix-up on Monday that sent me home in frustration.

I read that the US cases of Johnson & Johnson vaccine blood clots were all women, age 18-48. Gotta wonder if they were all on birth control pills that increase clot risk on their own by 3-4 times. Seems like a big coincidence there. It would be great if that were the case--such a simple fix.

I am choosing Salt Caramel for comfort since soon someone will be sticking a needle into my arm.
    Aaaaand, this isn't funny anymore.

Trilby and Phleg -- I just saw a 100ml bottle of Kimonanthe on Mercari for $120, so you might want to check there, if you don't have any objections to second hand.

I'm wearing YSL Libre Intense from my newly acquired bottle.

Let's just say I had a couple of pricy returns that I didn't get around to taking back to Nordstrom (due to pandemic) until this week. With my credit card increase in hand, I marched a short 20 steps over to Chanel and purchased a bottle of Jersey. Then I thought, what the hell, I'll spring for Libre Intense too before I exit the store. They kind of felt free because I had a return credit to cover the cost!

It gets better! The Chanel SA gave me the equivalent of 15 mls of samples: Sycomore, La Pausa, Paris-Biarritz, Misia, No. 18, Gardenia, and Bel Respiro. I had let her know that I purchased Jersey as a result of a previous sample so maybe that helped (plus my sincere gushing over the Exclusifs line). My first shopping outing in quite a quite was a success!

Lovely sunny day here so put on some Azzuro di Capri (Acampora). I thought this was over the top when I originally smelled it but a year of lockdown demands high octane summer floral loveliness....

Going to try to go through the Acampora set over the next week or so...

My favorite from the Acamporas, although Vert is lovely too.

That's the third report I've heard of Chanel SA generosity lately. Guess they're happy to see the return of shoppers. Makes we wish I had Chanel counter or boutique nearby.

Hi! I'm in Infusion d'Iris. I had a doctor's appointment today and needed something calming as it was a new doctor, and that's always a bit scary.

Trilby, congrats on your new perfumes! I'm living vicariously through you as I haven't bought perfume (or been shopping anywhere since the grocery or an occasional trip to Target) in ages.

My first and only foray into second hand was a purchase of three Diptyques from Mercari last year. They didn't smell right to me and two were undisclosed testers. I wish I had spent the same amount of money on a single bottle of known provenance. That's pretty much why I do not pursue vintage either. It's part of my personality to be concerned with authenticity and proper fragrance storage. But, hey, at least I have self knowledge and don't go around accusing sellers of fraud or misrepresentation. I leave that to others!
