Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

    Morning all!

As Jon mentioned, typical bank holiday weather expected here, too. No rain yet, but the wind is already picking up...

l've booked a space in the library for a couple of hours this afternoon, so l can get some serious work done in peace. l still haven't received a response to my request for an extension, despite my tutor chasing it up. l don't know what the delay is, but l'll keep plodding on regardless...

l'm wearing my studying scent, Smuggler's Soul today.

Heavy rain here and very dull - as Jon said, it's
typical for an English Bank Holiday Monday

I have turned the heating back on and am wearing Visa.

Started the day sitting on a stool in front of the new, glass-doored washer and watching it do its thing. Then I filled the ice cube trays and emptied the dishwasher. Can anyone beat that for excitement?

I hope you get a chance to slow down, Mike. But maybe not as slow as my Monday example.

Rose Flash felt too sweet after application, so I cut it with Fragonard Rose de Mai.

Hello and best to everyone. Dreary weather on this side of the pond, too.

Vintage Samsara eau de parfum today, IMO the nicest iteration I’ve tried so far (vintage and current edt and edp)

Wishing all a good start to your week.

We seem to be in weather-sync with our British brethren: thunderstorms imminent, with a powerful smell of ozone in the sultry air.

For days like this I like to wear a bittter, mineralic, aldehydic green:

I've had the heart-pounding thrill of cleaning three litter boxes this morning.... I do envy your glass-fronted dishwasher. I would totally sit in front and watch it wash. Sometimes I watch the clothes washer but it's pretty dark inside. Manufacturers should put lights inside for us weirdos who like seeing the clothes slosh around.

Mike, will you apply for the manager's position again? Seeing as you trained the previous one.

I'm wearing Un Bois Vanille this gray morning (just gray, no rain) and debating whether I should move the woodpile to a different spot.

I've had a similarly routine day to Quarry's.
I did some washing, prepared lunch, cleaned lots of
windows and turned up a pair of trousers that I'd bought
online and were far too long even for me. Be still me beating heart....

Some days are just for getting through without falling into a "slough of
despondancy!" My husband did cook us a lovely curry this evening so things aren't all
    bad.

After a bath, I'll perk myself up with a spritz of Mandorlo di Sicilia.

I was actually watching the clothes washer. I needed a flashlight to watch what was happening. I was trying to donate our nice top-loader to the ReStore (affiliated with Habitat for Humanity), but they didn't want it, so now I've offered it to someone on Freecycle if they'll pick it up.

I, too, was wondering about Mike pitching again for that manager position. I'd love having a boss like Mike.

Hope you have a good day, Teardrop. The library can be so peaceful and focusing. I haven't been keeping up, Mike, but it seems you've got a lot on so best wishes to you for strength and endurance.

I'm busy, too, getting insurance estimates and taking three vehicles in for repair, and the roof/gutters/deck to get under way, vaccines for Sam and I are tomorrow and the next day, while I squeeze in a phone appointment for medication refills just before my vaccine. I'm trying to sell my piano back to the shop I bought it from--picture and information sent, and waiting for a reply.

Life comes at you when it pleases. I can't help thinking of my piano shifting attempt as Swedish Death Piano Sales, and my roof as the Swedish Death Roof.

In the meantime, I'm wearing Rose Essentielle because it's pleasant to me and totally undemanding.
    Aaaaand, this isn't funny anymore.
