Depends on your tastes. If you like strong fragrances, that might be a bit rough on the edges with neither the ingredients nor artistic value being best of the best(most of the fragrances regardless of price tags fall under this nowadays), then it is a good one.

It's really big and loud and it's not exactly nuanced or complex, but it's also not bad or overly synthetic. Have you tried anything else from Montale/Mancera? If so, the house style should be familiar. I own and like it, but I accept it for what it is, and don't hold my expectations too high in terms of the layered development of notes or natural-smelling accords. If you can find a tester or used bottle for under $70-80 I'd say it's worth it.

I would try and get a sample. You may not like a certain note in it that comes off like rubber(at least to me). It seems to be in a lot of manceras' offerings. With it being the least prominent in black gold(from the 9 different mancera fragrances I've tried).

Did you end up buying it? What do you think? Luckily Mancera samples aren’t too hard to come by online if you want to track one down/explore more.

I have a bottle and unless you enjoy sweet-bitter, it wouldn't be a safe blind. The sweetness is slightly medicinal and the bitter quite intensed and earthy (I think from the Vetiver?) according to the notes I took down. But I enjoy such, though I haven't worn it in months. I hope you end up enjoying it too!

(This is just my joking way of saying that it's a very loud, chaotic fragrance.)

I see. Im trying to get into tobacco fragrances and I like something that is bold and loud and will fill the room. What do you mean by the sweetness is slightly medicinal and the bitter quite intense and earthy ?

    It's a more oriental/amber-y take on Paco's 1 Million.

    Personally, I prefer 1 Million.
