    Happy Birthday Madam!!

You're right - BN is a treasure - I haven't been around as much as I'd like recently, but hoping to get back in harness soon...

Happy trails for the next 40, even (or should I say especially) if some of the travelling is in your kitchen! Oddly enough, I cannot remember from my own psychedelic wanderings if I ever noticed any weird scent effects....

That is a very interesting observation. I can't remember any either. But considering the elevation of the other senses, surely scent would be affected too?

Happy birthday and many thanks for the kind words.
Taking the opportunity to thank this wonderful community for all that can perhaps only be described and deservedly valued as equally stunning, rewarding and simply great altogether, through and through.

yellowtone is a good egg and I should hunt down the sample of Tsarina she sent me (plus a bunch of others) in the super slick James Bond style, internationally travelling, cassette case. I don’t know if that was originally ClarieV’s idea, or Ebenas’, nor do I know if I use apostrophes correctly, but it was a heck of a fun parcel to receive. You go, yellowtone!

    You’re a good egg.

By the way, you’re going to love your forties! (I’m 41.) Ever since I turned 40, I’ve had a little mantra in my mind that helps me avoid chaos and drama: “I’m a grown-a** woman, and I don’t need to ... if I don’t want to.” It’s very freeing. I wish you freedom and love this year.
Thanks! I'm not mad at being 40, I must say. It does sound quite a bit older than I feel, but it does come with an increased sense of self acceptance and a bit more of a "that's your problem not mine" attitude towards the world that I like. I feel like my 40ies are going to be a good decade...

Mdma for treating depression, I think? And LSD for folks with PTSD, that research is pretty convincing.

Ah, Dr. Ebenas in the house, good to see you around! Hmm, I notice that things that smell good smell REALLY good, but other than that I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

I will, I'll break out the Dilettante today, I think. Someone described it as snorting sunshine, which I think is an apt description.

    Belated Happy B'day, yellowtone!

When you cross into 40, there is no instant change... but there is a definite skewing in how one views life, at least, it happened to me.
It was as if, '40' was a prism or rather a dense lens, and I could look at my entire life backwards and somehow, like an extended parallax, see ahead in future.
Sort of standing at crossroads, perhaps.
It was the year, I started serious extensive travelling, it was the year I trekked into Sahara, and also into El Kelaa M'gouna to find local rose-distilleries.
It is all about memories, in the end, isn't it?
