Default Bond No 9 Andy Warhol

Guys set me straight. What is the most you would pay for an almost full 3.4 oz bottle of the Andy Warhol face Bond No 9? I have the opportunity to buy a bottle and am curious what the consensus is on a fair price. I saw one posted on ebay for a grand which seems very excessive.

Prices are subjective. What most of us on here would be willing to pay for it, in all likelihood, is not going to be it's market value. Most of us have got way too many choice, not to wait around for a deal. The seller would find people who are looking for exactly that scent on other outlets than on here, and consequently be able to get a premium. If the question was around what is a fair value; I'd say a bit of a premium over current retail prices of 100ml Bond No. 9 bottles. That would unlikely get any bites on here. It probably would sell rather quickly in $400 range on Ebay.

I remember when this scent was available for testing at Saks, not impressed by from what I recalled. It's really more of a collector's item if anything, the scent itself is a typical Bond creation.

I think some of the scents also appear under a different name and in a new bottle
But once you get locked into a serious perfume collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

Only you can decide how much something - anything - is worth to you.

I remember when this one and H.O.T. Always were each $99 on Amazon. By the time I was ready to commit, they were gone. Then again, I doubt I actually needed either of them in my wardrobe. I think H.O.T. Always is still around, but not at that price.

Anyway... I'd never pay that much, for multiple reasons. How do you know it's been properly stored for the past decade? And what if you love it and quickly go through it? Or what if something happens to it? You can't buy more.

Some of them were renamed, but for whatever reason, not this one. The scent named Andy Warhol (with his face wearing sunglasses on the bottle) was discontinued. That's odd since, in my opinion, this was the best from their Andy Warhol Line.

Agree. For me, it's not worth anything.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Though it sounds like the price may be fair there are far more fragrances I would rather purchase with that money.

As mentioned, prices are subjective to what you may or may not want to pay.
