    Default Rich, Green & Masculine

Ive always been a fan of green citrusy scents and have tried several designer and niche stuff in this category but my 'dream' scent still seems elusive !
The ones i tried were either not so high in quality, or they seemed more feminine than masculine.
what im looking for is a high quality expensive smelling high performing and absolutely masculine 'greenish' scent without any dominant or noticeable flower notes in the drydown. I dont mind incense or wood or musk or whatever but no flowers. I recently tried Kemi Jabir and almost loved it, except that it has a flowery vibe in the drydown which stays forever. Thats the only factor that put me off. somehow i cant stand flowers too much.
Flowers in the final dry down is a big NO for me.
I hope someone can suggest some names i can try

Perhaps try French Lover by Frederic Malle or, for something more classic, Polo by Ralph Lauren (vintage if you can get it).
    A few favourites

Bois du Portugal / Aventus / Boss Number One (current version)
Sagamore (vintage) / Drakkar Noir (vintage) / Pour Monsieur
Heritage EdT (all versions) / Incident Diplomatique / Halfeti
Bright Neroli / EL / Jubilation Man / Cool Water (vintage)

Lauder For Men. Good quality, reasonably priced.

Creed Feuilles Vertes, an exceptionally fine green, if you can track it down, and have a hefty budget for fragrances.

Or Black is a good leathery-anisic-green fragrance that gets high marks even for the reformulation.
“I have often observed that [scents] cause an alteration in me and work upon my spirits according to their several virtues; which makes me approve of what is said, that the use of incense and perfumes in churches, so ancient and so universally received in all nations and religions, was intended to cheer us, and to rouse and purify the senses, the better to fit us for contemplation” - Montaigne

I've always loved Paradis Perdu by Frapin and it sounds like it would fit the bill

Have you tried Devin by Aramis? Relentlessly green. Masculine as can be. Especially rich in vintage.

    Sartorial by Penhaligon’s

    Brut with a niche-like pedigree.

Unmistakably masculine, undoubtedly green and very versatile. This can be worn with jeans and a polo as easily as it can a suit.

+1 for Fougere Royale by Houbigant
    +1 Escencia by Loewe
+1 Duc de Vervins by Houbigant
