Default Fresh violet flower aquatic freshy....?

Hi, I would like to look at something fresh but with something else going on also.

I considered Fahrenheit Christian Dior but although I like it I'm not sure I want the strong/dominant petrol smell. Has that been calmed down at all in recent years?

I have also considered Fahrenheit Cologne Christian Dior which has fairly good reviews and supposedly performs fairly well for a freshy? I like what I read.

Is Mercedes Benz Intense a good option (is it like Fahrenheit Cologne/Aqua) or am I better off sticking to Dior?

Are there any others that use that violet flower vibe (not just the leaf) perhaps with the slight whiff of the Fahrenheit petrol/violet but not as dirty?
Light but not weak. Not an evening scent but more of a daytime spring summer thing that can also dress up if required?

I picked up Zegna Uomo recently and I think that fits the bill. Fresh, with violet notes. No petrol. My only criticism is that it is light, bordering on weak. But, it's pretty inexpensive and I think the bottle's cool.

Benz Le Parfum does a violet-leather-aquatic thing. It's nice!

Mr Burberry Indigo is what you’re after.

Fahrenheit Cologne is for Fahrenheit collectors only. Every time I wear it I wish I had just worn the original instead. The opening in particular is disappointing.

Yeah, Zegna Uomo was what came first to my mind too.

Also, Kiton Black and, to a lesser degree, original Kiton.

P.S. and while they are kinda HTF these days, but the original Dsquared2 He Wood and He Wood Cologne are also worth a mention.

    I''d stick with the Dior

Burberry Indigo +1 violet with a touch of mint and aquatic tones.

Also - YSL L'Homme Libre - although it's a lot of violet leaves, so a little darker IMO.

I'd also suggest Zegna Uomo. YSL L'homme Libre fits the bill too, but it's discontinued and you will most likely pay more than you should. Sometimes you'll find a good deal on the aftershave, but Zegna is probably the best bet for the price.

Forgot to mention Calvin Klein Man. A nice violet scent with a hint of mint and incense to make it an intriguing choice for violet leaf fans.

And I forgot the grand daddy of them all - Gucci Pour Homme II. Discontinued and way over-priced on eBay, but awesome and the best violet IMO.

I'd have to disagree, as I think the opening is nice and "summery". This might just be what the OP should try. My only quibble about Fahrenheit Cologne is that it doesn't have great longevity on skin, but a spray or two on the undershirt fixes that.

This one is nice, alongside Calvin Klein Truth for Men.

I also suggest Eau de Cartier Concentrée, Burberry Touch for Men, Kiton Men, and the new Brioni Eau de Parfum.

Now I'm going to likely order a few samples from this thread. I haven't cared for any Burberry scent yet, but I 'want' to like something they make so I have 'something' from that house on my shelf. Maybe this will be the one? But it won't just be bought to be bought. It will be pitted against other similar ones in a sample battle royale and only one 'might' find a spot on my shelf for rare wearings.

    Ok another thing.

I already have another violet heavy scent, namely Mercedes Benz for men (not the blue key fob shaped bottle but the same round glass bottle as the intense and cologne but with clear juice).
This is in the same series as MB for men intense, which is supposed to be similar to Fahrenheit/Fahrenheit Aqua.

I like the opening but it quickly becomes too sharp and dry for me. The top notes (according to Fragrantica) are Bergamot, Amalfi Lemon and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Violet, Pepper, Nutmeg and Galbanum; base notes are Vetiver, Virginia Cedar and Patchouli.

I wonder if Fahrenheit Cologne is going to be the same or very close to this? I hope not as I don't want it to go dry and screechy, which the MB does.
Do the aquatic/citrus notes stay fairly smooth and even a little sweet(ish) or do they, like the MB go dry and put your teeth on edge?

Thanks for all the great suggestions so far.

I did once try Zegna Uomo but found it had no violet flower, only violet leaf for freshness.
I'm specifically referring to violet flower more than just the leaf.

Burberry Touch was my first thought.

Aren’t these violet leaf not violet flower notes?
