Judith actually advised to not use it anymore as it's never actually checked during the past year. She said it's better to just put our requests straight into the thread as it's easier to see.

LOL! Wow. Not having been around here for a while, I guess I missed that one. That's sad. I dumped a good bunch of excellent data into that thing - apparently to no end.

Wellllllll, what the heck. It's not like I broke a bottle of something discontinued!

But wait! It looks like two fragrances I put in there went in. Hmmmmmmm. But I also notified about them in the "missing" thread. Whatever! I appreciate them getting added.

Anything put in the contribute.php page will be added eventually, there's a slight backlog but I'm working on it. The approval process gives preference to new launches and fragrances from the more popular houses.

As someone who remembers the Huddler days all too well, I am going to have to steel myself for this one….

That said, I am on the Badger&Blade Forum daily, and am quite used to the format, so I think it should be a smoother transition this time. One thing that forum has (that I am not sure is their choice, or a “feature” of the format) is posts can only be edited for about an hour after posting before becoming permanent. That is *extremely* annoying, and I hope if it is an option, that BN does not choose to implement it here. Good luck with the transition, Grant!
    Current Top Ten:
    1) Portrait of a Lady original formula (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Jasmin Antique (Rogue Perfumery)

    3) Giorgio for Men vintage (Giorgio Beverly Hills) - tie
    3) Giorgio V.I.P. Special Reserve (Giorgio Beverly Hills) - tie

    5) Dia pour Homme vintage edt (Amouage)

    6) Nombre Noir (Shiseido)
    7) Lucifer (Renaissance Fragrances)
    8) Polo vintage (Ralph Lauren)
    9) Monsieur de Givenchy vintage (Givenchy)
    10)Vetifleur (Rogue Perfumery)

That's a choice on their part.

Great use of the reactions feature without it descending into lol, wtf and the like.

    That's great Grant, thank you!

    Grant,

Any chance you'll be adding the ability to sort your wardrobe by most-to-least/least-to-most worn?

It all sounds great, thank you for the work you do to keep this awesome corner of the internet up and running!

Just had one question - one of my favorite features is the wardrobe, tracking wears. Will our wardrobe numbers migrate over to the new site, or will everything reset to 0?

Those Huddler days gave us some lessons, did they not? Looking forward to these new changes. The screenshots look good.

Btw Basenotes review pages could certainly do with more SEO help to go up the search rankings. We’ve gone underground for far too long. A real pity IMO as BN reviews have some absolute gems!

Likes Button - the new sotfware gives people the option to react to a post, with one of the following reactions: Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, Angry. I know there is some resistance to these, but the main two reason I have for wanting something like this, is cutting down on useless one-word replies and, the fact that there is no useful way of highlighting posts that are good. There is 20 years worth of posts on this forum - how do we find the gems? (I am very likely to change the 'reactions' to include different things - perhaps: Thanks/Useful/Insightful/Helpful,

SOTD - will be getting a makeover - it was the first thing I ever coded in PHP, so could do with a bit of love

BNPLUS - they will probably be distinguished in the same way as now, I haven't fiddled with them settings much, as that's an easy quick job, and currently concentrating on the fiddly hard jobs!

This is great! I’m on a sports board…Dallas Cowboys board called CowboysZone..and the thing I enjoy is that people can like my posts, etc and I get a notice of when someone responds to me or likes the post. I know you didn’t lay a response function but I’ve found the one thing lacking here in the past was I’d say “interaction” …you might go a month trying to add to the forum through posts and get no interaction. It honestly makes you feel like your voice means nothing at times. I know it may seem petty but a “like” lets you know you didn’t contribute for nothing if people don’t Want a full reply. Also in longer threads you join late it gives you a chance to appreciate old stuff vs responding snd rehashing.

Thanks for always working so hard for us Grant

I think likes would be very useful, at least in the DIY forum, as it is a way to acknowledge someone's help/advice/etc without having to write an otherwise contentless post.
