Ingenious. I might even be inspired to adopt this system.
Indeed, for samples this is the most effective.

If I were a decants guy, I'd buy test tube racks, or I would make something similar myself, special for the diameter and height of the decants, with side handles and a custom chest of drawers.

    RE: Bronzed training bra-
You know baby shoes are just so overdone, and any female identifying individual knows just how momentous that trip to the department store feels, at least it did for me. Getting measured up and fitted, and that strange sensation of the elastic around your ribs. Junior High was hard as a very late bloomer, when secondary sexual traits were a mark of status. So I memorialized the moment in bronze in my college foundry class. Little did I know that new garment was just the beginning of a lifetime of pinching and binding.

Calling it a "method" is a bit of a stretch. It's more like corralled chaos.

Do you see that large round pink cap that's in the center of the photo? That's the Schiaparelli Shocking I got from you years ago.

Most of my samples are just in tiny ziplock baggies, 5 each and stored in a little box.
I've spent the last few years brewing up my own batches of fragrances and so most of my space is taken up with glassware and raw materials
I try really REALLY hard not to sample anything new - I seriously need to stop perusing the sales threads here - Jcelello is killing me with his postings LOL!
I was really frustrated one day last year, and attempted to use play dough to sit the same vials in - it doesn't work well, makes a mess and - just don't do it.

Some of them were too wide to fit in the slots so I turned them upside down to fit them in. I've covered those containers with parafilm and ptfe tape so that help against evaporation.

90% of the samples I get aren't worth storing anyway.

Those are some really neat OCD-compliant organizing systems! I keep mine haphazardly in little boxes. Out of sight, out of mind… and because of that sometimes I end up repurchasing the same samples.

I came to the same realization while organizing. I had doubles of quite a number of samples.

I love may of the suggestions to include the business card one. I have a number of older Birchbox boxes that I'm figuring I can repurpose to hold samples.

I've done that more times than I care to remember, and I always feel ashamed when I do it.

I feel the same way. Whenever I've loved a sample, I've bought a full bottle. Which means I rarely reach for my sample stash (in small zip loc bags in boxes). I do revisit them sometimes - that is how I came to love Cartier de Pasha. Then again, Yatagan and Azzaro pour Home disappoint me every time I've tried.

For those with extremely organized or sensitive eyes don't look, you have been warned.

OP - this really doesn't help at all unless you take a bathroom with you.

The organized part of me has a few boxes with them arranged in order. But the "use and get rid of some !$!$!#@ samples"" part of me decided to use a spare bathroom and in no time at all it was way out of hand.....

Sharp eyes will see some method to the madness..... Floris in sink and in front, malle on left, montale on lower level, zoologist on top level, and various niche or overpriced stuff on cardboard. (No statement intended as to which houses made the commode....)

Probably should have stuck to just one house....

But hey, it's probably a first and rare opportunity to surpass cook.bot at anything......

Ha ha HAH!! Oh, you have made me feel SO MUCH better about my own disorganization.

I'm imagining your panic if you had to urgently call in a plumber for that bathroom.

But hey, it's probably a first and rare opportunity to surpass cook.bot at anything......

Hanging jewelry organizers. The one on the right, I recently spent some time inserting white cardstock into the pockets because the dark gray color made it really hard to read the names on most of the clear vials.

They are both double sided. I've got the one on the right alphabetized by house, mostly. I was really lucky to have swapped samples and decants with some generous women on fragrantica back when I was new to this obsession, and they sent me a ton of their "overstock" as extras. I've found some real gems in that organizer on the left as my nose has gotten more experienced--it's been maybe 7 years?Attachment 155715Attachment 155716
These are nice setups. One thing that concerns me are the vials that are lying side ways. I would think the vials would be more prone to leakage/evaporation especially if they're not properly wrapped.

I'm not sure what would give me more joy: organizing those scents and cleaning up, or exploring that huge treasure trove of fragrance samples!

    I find this very soothing.
