Default Recap regarding previous Parfum lasting issues

    Hi all.

I posted on here a few months ago regarding perfumes never lasting nor projecting on me.

People would struggle to detect my scent unless they pressed their nose against my neck! I would find the smell disappears after a hour and I would have to regularly top up with a spray. There would be no projection or silage.

    So far Iíve tried:
Terre De Hermes (old favourite and best so far)
Dior Sauvage (lasts but got sick of it)
Tom Ford Oud Wood eau de Parfum ( probably the second weakest!)
Tom Ford Noir Eau de Parfum (probably the weakest)
Tom Ford Leather Ombrť Eau de Parfum (didnít last longer than 30 minutesÖ)
Mont Blanc Explorer eau de Parfum

They are all bought in reputable department shops in the U.K. and always in eau de Parfum.

Iím looking for a strong masculine woody tobacco zesty scent that really projects and lasts. Something thatís out of the ordinary.
    Can anyone recommend?
Iíve got my eye on Tom Ford F***ing fabulous, Maison Margeila Jazz Club, Guerlain Lí Homme ideal and Creed Aventus.

Do they project well and last?
    Thanks!

Perhaps L'Ombre Des Hommes by Paul Emilien might fill your needs.

Always remember to try spraying your clothes not every fragrance works well on everyone’s skin no reason not to enjoy it since fragrance loves to stick to clothing!
Currently wearing: Sauvage by Christian Dior

    Thanks everyone!

Went to Fenwicks yesterday for some tests. Sprayed on Maison Margeila jazz club, Moschino Toy Boy and Tom Ford Oud Tobacco.

The Maison Margeila jazz club disappeared fairly quickly. Tom Ford Oud Tobacco and Moschino Toy Boy stayed on a bit. I can still smell them on my wrists this morning despite having had a shower last night.

Sprayed on Tom Ford Oud Wood this morning before work…smell has completely gone now. Not sure if ofalacory fatigue or just the nature of Tom Ford Oud Wood?

Is there a way to be able to detect if it’s still noticeable?

You've already had some great suggestions it seems. In addition, I would advise:
    - Asking others if they can smell the scent(s) on you and at varying periods after applying them
    - Try not to spray too much as your nose may be blocking the scents out
    - Vary your fragrances each day so that your nose does not get "used" to each scent; also stick to a maximum of one scent in the morning and one in the evening. Too many could also cause nose fatigue (anosmia)
    - Always spray away from the chest/neck area which, because of their position below the nose, are likely going to cause anosmia as well.
