    Masculin 2, Bourjois. 1975.

It's very hot here since a couple weeks, so I wanted a fresh citrus scent.

Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland (1999)

Ironic that a fragrance once considered a modern take on a vintage style is now itself over 20 years old and technically vintage too, plus no longer the budget alternative to anything as it is becoming harder to find and more expensive. Depressing ain't it?

Good stuff though! Solid competitor with Paco Rabanne pour Homme (1973), Bogart Eau de Toilette pour Homme (1975), Worth pour Homme (1980), and Roger & Gallet L'Homme (1982).

It's easy to get IN IRELAND but isn't exported much anymore outside Irish gift shops in other countries, and they don't give the discounts this used to get on big sites like FragranceX or Notino. Still not a unicorn, but not the bargain replacement for vintage PRPH it used to be.

"In the early sixties, Pierre Dinand wanted Paco Rabanne's Calandre to be locked into a metal frame. But in those days in the perfume industry, for various reasons, metal was practically impossible to use . And so he decided to experiment with ABS. At the time, it was a brand new material mostly used in the car industry. Once galvanized, this material can be metal-plated and looks like real metal."

It fooled me! On the early bottles I used to get in the '70s, I thought the frame was metal.
