    21 Club Cologne

Most of the reviews compared it favorably to other fragrances, but no two reviewers cited the same one. I'm finding it familiar, too, but not to anything mentioned in the reviews. I'm going to have to figure it out. Anyway, a classic citrus/woods/moss masculine in a ’70s/’80s mold; and, if that's your style, eBay has plenty of it at the moment, reasonably priced.

No need for batch code checkers because with Givenchy it's easy to check the year straight from the code. Like I wrote, 1994 (based on the batch code) is the latest year for a "Paris France" slim style spray I've seen. The barcode being also there verifies it can't have been 1984 for example. Like you, I was expecting the "Paris France" would have been dropped earlier.
    Spray less, love more.

    Vintage Eternity for Men

I don't know if the top notes have turned just a bit, but there's this sliver of dirtiness there. I don't know if it's that or it's just not as overly citrusy sweet as the current stuff. Whatever it is, I'm kind of enjoying it moreso because of it. Gives it some character and feels less like a proto-Curve.

Top juice for me these days. I wish it were cheaper so I could back up my bottle. I can’t think of any suitable replacement for it either.

I have stocked up on probably more Jules than I need. I like the current version, so that adds to the bounty. I have about 150 ml of brown bottle, about 250 ml or ribbed bottle, and close to 100 ml of current. 500 ml! I probably have one more ribbed bottle than I need. Considering Givenchy Gentleman, by comparison, which I like just as much: I have less than half as much, around 220 ml, but even that will likely be enough.

Very nice scent; one of my favs ! And the ad was made by Gruau, whom designed "Rouge baiser":

Agree. Smells great, but it’s quiet, and it’s similar enough overall to Azzaro Pour Homme, Charles Jourdan and Tuscany that I don’t feel compelled to own it.

zr0e asked me about this, so I figured I’d give it a whirl. The combination of rosemary, artemisia, and lemon on top give this a fresh, mint-like opening, while the base is mostly about fir. I’d say it’s a darned good sport scent. If that’s your thing, this is a fine choice. But, is it worth the unicorn premium it commands? I feel like the market price is kinda high for what it is. I’m not as impressed as I was with Deep Forest.

As a postscript: the more it dries down, the better it gets. So, I've revised my opinion upward over the last couple of hours.

Hype does strange things to value, in any collector's hobby, really.

I'd still love to try the Bogners eventually.
