    Post Hello from FragWag, new frag enthusiast / blogger

    Hi, all, I got the frag bug in April, thought I'd say hi:

    · Since April 7 ’21, really, 91 men’s fragrances have joined my shelf. Yes, a got bit by the frag bug something big;

    · This week, unboxed Armaf Le Parfait; Santos de Cartier; Eau de Cartier; 4711; Audigier Ed Hardy Villain; David Beckham Intense, and Homme; Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui; Jaguar Innovation; Bottled United EDP (2021);

    · I’d love to hear from you!

    · I blog at FragWag.com;

    · Post as user Pryvycy on Fragrantica;

    · Blind-buying must be a special gift of mine, as I have almost no duds or disappointments;

    · Crazy about Dunhill and have a very broad range of houses and cologne types;

    · ForeverLux is my main buying venue;

    · Love testers (but want original caps);

    · Own virtually no “prestige” brands (yet), as I've been busy in the discount arena. D&G The One EDT and Prada Amber Intense were my biggest spends, at about $50 each; my average spend is $22; and Monday picked up Bottled United Eau de Parfum (2021) at Macy's Herald Square for $135 (200ml).

    · Don't understand why Bottled United EDP 2021 is not in BaseNotes’ database... (?)

    · Just learned of Imaginary Authors and D.S. & Durga niche houses and acquired a lot of samples; am writing a series of First Impression reviews at FragWag.com;

    · Live in NYC and am planning a blog series on the Great Fragrance Counters of Manhattan – the big stores like Macy’s and Bloomingdales; the exclusive department stores like Saks and Bergdorf; beauty houses like Sephora; designer boutiques... All the best curated counters in the City;

    · Write occasionally for The New York Times’s Metropolitan Diary column (reader submissions);

    · Just discovered James Joyce’s Finnegan’s Wake.

    A fellow appreciator of fine fragrances and literary studies (my day job) - welcome!
    “I have often observed that [scents] cause an alteration in me and work upon my spirits according to their several virtues; which makes me approve of what is said, that the use of incense and perfumes in churches, so ancient and so universally received in all nations and religions, was intended to cheer us, and to rouse and purify the senses, the better to fit us for contemplation” - Montaigne
