    Hi, everyone, and TGIF!!!

I’ve been a bit buried under job-search stress (I did have another interview, and had a *bunch* of networking meetings), but I’m afraid I haven’t worn much fragrance this week. I did manage Lancome Sikkim over the weekend and Boy Chanel on interview day, but otherwise have been naked scent-wise.

Making up for it a bit today – In sync times two with a pair from Stephanie Saint-Aignan: Voleur de Ciels and Un The Au Sahara

Both of these are evocative (for me) of the Sahara Desert and – for reasons I’m not entirely clear on –Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Probably because he was a pilot as well as the author of The Little Prince and apparently spent his share of time flying in/over the desert. Anyhow, in my book the great outdoors doesn’t get much greater than the Sahara Desert.

Going to friends’ new vacation house (I’m jealous!) in Rockport, Mass. for a housewarming dinner this evening. I plan to continue the sync (and the desert theme!) with Tauer Perfumes L'Air du Désert Marocain.

    Fabulous Friday to all!

Voleur de Ciels notes: Wood, chypre, mint, jasmine, milky notes and leather.

Un The Au Sahara notes: Tea, mint , woods, patchouli, sage, smoky incense, leather, amber accord.

L'Air du Désert Marocain fragrance notes: Coriander, Cumin, Petitgrain, Rock rose, Jasmine, Cedar, Vetiver, Ambergris.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

Hello everyone Today the bf and I plan to go for a walk /hike not too far from where we live. I also ordered flowers from me and my family for Hanna's (my bf's sister) funeral... It feels sad, but good to be able to do that. For the synch I'm in Chypre Siam.

Triple-digit heat again today, and I hope Quarry and the schoolhouse are okay, the news said her area saw some intense weather. I'm wearing Pivoine Suzhou, not overwhelming at any time so it plays well in summer.

All's well. A lot of places were without power. Lucky to live in a valley where we're protected from the worst winds.

I'm wearing Guerlain Insolence today. Its violet note always stands out for me. I think Insolence is charming and fun to wear.

I went to the cookware store this morning and purchased a new pastry blender, lattice cutter, and some beautiful red kitchen towels. I cook many things but pies are my specialty.

Let's see... I got my hair cut super short and now my neck is exposed. It feels very fresh and freeing.

I've been working on my health the past few months, diet and exercise. My lab results came in today showing significant improvements.

Next week, I'm starting training (on my own) for a Death Valley hiking program in the fall. I'm going there because I love it, but also because I can drive instead of fly and there's ample opportunity for social distancing. I kind of anticipated that the virus would rear its ugly head again.

I'm getting excited for autumn. I can feel it coming - there's something in the air...
